Text : Matthew 5:13–14
Author : Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation :
The world is full of problems begging for solutions, and God has positioned you as an answer to your generation. Jesus said, “Ye are the salt of the earth… ye are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:13–14). Salt preserves and adds value, while light dispels darkness. This means your presence should bring solutions wherever you find yourself. The more problems you are able to solve, the more relevant and impactful your life becomes.
Value is exchanged when problems are solved. Scripture declares, “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings” (Proverbs 22:29). Diligence in solving problems attracts recognition, influence, and reward. You cannot consistently create value and remain unnoticed or unrewarded. If you truly desire to overcome poverty and insignificance, commit yourself to identifying needs and providing solutions that will benefit others.
Jesus came as the ultimate problem solver. The Bible says, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8). Sin, being the root of all human problems, was dealt with through His sacrifice. In Christ, we see the perfect example of a life dedicated to solving the deepest problems of humanity—spiritual, emotional, and physical.
If Christ dwells in you, then His nature is at work in you. You are not empty; you carry divine capacity. The scripture affirms, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13). This means you have the wisdom, creativity, and grace required to bring solutions to your world. Ask God for insight, for “if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God… and it shall be given him” (James 1:5). Refuse to be a spectator—be a solution carrier.
Prayer Nugget : Lord, make me a vessel of solutions in my generation. Fill me with wisdom, creativity, and boldness to solve problems and add value wherever I go.
Bible in One Year : Psalms 1–8
