Text: Hebrews 11:6

Exhortation:
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” — Hebrews 11:6
To seek God diligently is to seek Him thoroughly—to pursue Him completely, carefully, and with great attention, leaving nothing out. Diligent seeking requires intentionality; it is not something we do casually or only when we need something from God. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” God desires a heart that genuinely longs for Him.
One of the ways we seek God diligently is by spending quality time in His presence, paying attention to His promptings and shunning every distraction around us. In today’s busy world, there are countless distractions that can easily compete for our attention—social media, our phones, family responsibilities, work and the many demands of daily life. If we are not intentional, these things can gradually take the place that belongs to God.
Many times, we hurry into His presence and hurry out again, and then wonder why we are not enjoying His leading, guidance and direction. When we approach God carelessly or allow ourselves to be distracted while seeking Him, we may miss the joy of His presence and the pleasures that are at His right hand. Give God your attention, give Him your time, and seek Him with all your heart; those who diligently seek Him will find Him.
Prayer Nugget: Father, give me the grace to seek You diligently and with all my heart. Help me to overcome every distraction and to value my time in Your presence in Jesus name.
