Text : James 1:19

Author : Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation :

Patience is essential in overcoming anger. Scripture says we should be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Patience gives you time to think before reacting (Proverbs 19:11).

A patient person listens and understands before responding. This reduces misunderstandings and prevents unnecessary conflict. Patience reflects spiritual maturity (Ecclesiastes 7:8).

Anger thrives in haste, but patience thrives in calmness. When you slow down, you give wisdom room to operate. This leads to better decisions and healthier relationships.

Practice patience in your daily life. Allow God to develop this virtue in you. As you grow in patience, anger loses its influence over you.

Prayer Nugget : Father, teach me patience; help me to be slow to anger and quick to understand, in Jesus’ name.

Bible in One Year : 1 Chronicles 27–29
