Exhortation:
One of the remarkable ways of God is that He delights in using the unlikely to accomplish extraordinary things. Scripture says, “God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise” (1 Corinthians 1:27). He often chooses ordinary, overlooked, and seemingly unqualified people so that His power—not human ability—will receive the glory. Gideon, David, the fishermen disciples, and many others stand as proof that God is not limited by human qualifications.
The world celebrates status, wealth, influence, and academic achievement, but God looks beyond outward credentials and sees the heart. This does not mean God despises education or excellence; rather, He opposes human pride and self-sufficiency. When God lifts the humble and works through the weak, no one can boast in His presence, because the victory clearly belongs to Him.
Therefore, never disqualify yourself because of your background, limitations, or lack of recognition. If God has called you, He will also equip you. His ways remind us that divine purpose is fulfilled not by self-confidence alone, but by complete dependence on His grace and power.
Prayer Nugget: Father, remove every trace of pride from my heart and help me to depend completely on You. Use my life for Your glory, and let Your strength be perfected in my weakness, in Jesus’ name.
