Text: John 16:33; Romans 8:37
Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation:
Every new day brings its own opportunities and challenges. Just as each day has fresh demands, we also need fresh grace from God to overcome them. Yesterday’s victory is not enough for today’s battle. Therefore, we must continually depend on God’s strength and mercy, which are renewed every morning (Lamentations 3:22–23).
The secret of daily victory is a life of obedience, spiritual sobriety, watchfulness, and prayer. As we remain close to God and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, we receive the wisdom and strength needed to overcome every temptation, trial, and opposition that comes our way.
Jesus never promised a trouble-free life. He said, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Because Christ has already won the victory, we can face every challenge with confidence, knowing that “in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us” (Romans 8:37).
Prayer Nugget: Father, grant me fresh grace for today’s challenges. Keep me obedient, watchful, and prayerful in Jesus’ name.
Bible in One Year: Jeremiah 6–8
