Text: Revelation 22:15
Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation:
Dogs are intelligent, loyal, and useful animals, but no matter how valuable a dog is, it can never take the place of a son or daughter. It may enjoy the benefits of the household, yet it cannot inherit the family estate. In the same way, there is a vast difference between enjoying God’s blessings and belonging to God’s family as an heir through Christ (John 1:12).
Throughout Scripture, animals often represent human character: the serpent symbolizes cunning, the sheep meekness, the dove purity, and the dog moral impurity. In Revelation 22:15, the word “dogs” is used symbolically to describe those who persist in sinful lifestyles without repentance—those who practice immorality, idolatry, sorcery, murder, and falsehood. God lovingly calls every sinner to repentance so that they may become His sons and daughters rather than remain outside His Kingdom.
Miracles are crumbs from the Master’s table (Matthew 15:26–28). Receiving a miracle does not automatically make anyone a son or daughter of God. Many desire God’s gifts but neglect a personal relationship with the Giver. Do not pursue God’s hand while ignoring His heart. Come to Christ in genuine repentance and faith, for only those who are born into God’s family through Him will inherit His eternal Kingdom.
Prayer Nugget: Father, thank You for calling me to be Your child through Jesus Christ. Help me to turn away from every sinful lifestyle, walk in holiness and truth, and remain faithful until I inherit Your eternal Kingdom, in Jesus’ name.
Bible in One Year: Isaiah 53–56
