Text : Revelation 2:8–10
Author : Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation :
The church in Smyrna faced persecution, poverty, and pressure, yet remained faithful. In today’s world, trials may not always be physical persecution but can come as financial hardship, rejection, career struggles, or societal pressure to compromise your values.
It is easy to serve God when things are going well, but true faith is revealed in adversity. Challenges can shake your confidence if your faith is not deeply rooted. Yet God assures you that He is aware of every situation you face (1 Peter 1:6–7).
Your trials are not meaningless; they are refining your faith and strengthening your endurance. God uses difficult seasons to build resilience and deepen your trust in Him (James 1:2–3).
Remain faithful regardless of circumstances. Hold on to God even when answers seem delayed. Your consistency in trials positions you for eternal reward and divine approval.
Prayer Nugget : Father, strengthen me to remain faithful in every trial; help me to trust You even in difficult times, in Jesus’ name.
Bible in One Year : 2 Chronicles 21–24
