Exhortation:

The Word of God is life. Jesus declared, “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). God’s Word is not merely a collection of instructions; it is the very breath of God that imparts life, wisdom, strength, and direction to all who receive it by faith. Every time you embrace His Word, you embrace life itself.

Your relationship with God’s Word determines the quality and direction of your life. Obedience to His Word brings peace, divine favour, protection, and eternal life, while persistent disobedience leads to spiritual decline and ultimately death (James 1:22–25). God’s commandments are not burdensome; they are given to preserve, guide, and bless those who walk in them.

From the Garden of Eden to the teachings of Christ, God has consistently placed before humanity a choice between life and death, blessing and cursing. Through Moses, He declared, “Choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19). Every decision to obey God’s Word is a decision to choose life, while every act of rebellion distances us from His purpose and blessings.

Therefore, let God’s Word become the final authority in every area of your life. Read it daily, meditate on it continually, and obey it wholeheartedly. As you align your thoughts, words, and actions with God’s truth, you will enjoy the abundant life Christ came to give and inherit the eternal life He has promised to all who faithfully follow Him.

Prayer Nugget: Father, give me the grace to love, obey, and live by Your Word every day. Help me to continually choose life by walking in Your truth, in Jesus’ name.
