Text : Psalm 113:7–9
Author : Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation :
God is the lifter of the lowly and the restorer of hope. Scripture declares that He makes the barren woman to keep house and become a joyful mother of children. This reveals His power to change situations that seem impossible and bring joy where there was once sorrow (Genesis 21:1–2).
No woman should allow barrenness to lead her into despair or depression. Worrying and anxiety cannot solve the problem; they only drain strength and weaken faith. Instead of focusing on the delay, fix your eyes on God who is able to do all things (Philippians 4:6–7).
Consider Hannah, who poured out her soul before the Lord in deep prayer. She refused to remain in bitterness and instead turned her pain into a cry unto God. In due time, God answered her and she not only had Samuel but was blessed with more children (1 Samuel 1:10–11; 2:21).
God’s timing is perfect, and His plans are always good. Hold on to Him in faith, continue in prayer, and refuse to give up hope. The same God who remembered others will remember you, and He will turn your waiting into rejoicing.
Prayer Nugget : Father, I place every burden in Your hands; strengthen my faith and turn every delay into testimony, in Jesus’ name.
