Text: John 1:5; Ephesians 6:12
Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation:
God’s Kingdom is forcefully advancing against the kingdom of darkness. From the beginning, there has been a conflict between light and darkness, truth and deception, righteousness and evil. Yet the outcome of this battle has already been settled at Calvary. “The light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not” (John 1:5). As believers, we are not trying to create victory; we are called to enforce Christ’s already accomplished victory and keep the devil where he belongs—under our feet.
Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against organized spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). Satan’s kingdom operates with strategy, but God’s children have been given greater authority through the covenant of Jesus Christ. As long as we remain in obedience to God’s Word, clothed with His armour, and steadfast in prayer, we fight from victory, not for victory.
The devil’s mission is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and his greatest target is your soul. Jesus, however, came to give abundant life now and eternal life forever. Every day presents a choice: whose rule will you submit to? Choose Christ, stand firm in His covenant, and let your life become evidence that the Kingdom of Light is advancing through you.
Prayer Nugget: Father, keep me steadfast in the covenant of Christ and help me to enforce the victory of Calvary every day. Let every work of darkness under my influence be subdued, and keep my soul secure in Your Kingdom, in Jesus’ name.
