Text : Proverbs 14:29

Author : Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation :

Anger is a powerful emotion, but when uncontrolled, it becomes destructive. Scripture teaches that he who is slow to anger has great understanding. Unchecked anger opens the door to foolish decisions and regrettable actions (Ecclesiastes 7:9).

A quick temper often leads to damage—broken relationships, wrong words, and lost opportunities. Many destinies have been delayed or destroyed because of uncontrolled anger. Wisdom teaches restraint before reaction (Proverbs 29:11).

God does not want you to be ruled by emotions but by His Spirit. When anger controls you, it blinds your judgment and weakens your discernment. A calm spirit preserves both your life and your future.

Choose to pause before reacting. Ask God for grace to manage your emotions wisely. As you learn restraint, you begin to walk in the wisdom that preserves life.

Prayer Nugget : Father, help me to be slow to anger; grant me understanding and control over my emotions, in Jesus’ name.
