Exhortation:
We live in a world filled with battles, contentions, and unseen spiritual conflicts. Psalm 74:20 says, “Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.” That is why every believer needs the greatest Ally on his side. Jesus Himself said, “Without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5).
When David returned to Ziklag and discovered that everything had been stolen and his home burnt down, he did not surrender to despair. He encouraged himself in the Lord, sought God’s direction, and then pursued the enemy. God granted him victory, and David recovered all (1 Samuel 30:6–19). Faith is therefore not passive; it prays, obeys, and acts on God’s instructions.
The spiritual controls the physical, and many victories are first won in the place of prayer before they become visible. Whatever battle confronts you today, remember God’s promise: “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace” (Exodus 14:14). Stand with God, trust His covenant, and He will fight on your behalf.
Prayer Nugget: Father, fight every battle that is beyond my strength. Lead me by Your Spirit, grant me victory over every contention, and help me recover every good thing the enemy has stolen, in Jesus’ name.
