Exhortation:
If you suddenly want to become taller and decide to stand on a stool, you may appear as tall as someone who naturally has that height. But the moment both of you are asked to run, you must first come down before you can make progress. What was borrowed cannot sustain movement; only genuine growth can.
This is how many people approach life. They want success, influence, wealth, or spiritual maturity overnight, so they look for shortcuts instead of embracing the process. But true growth cannot be short-circuited. Jesus Himself “increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man” (Luke 2:52), showing that even divine purpose unfolds through faithful growth.
What grows gradually lasts longer than what is artificially elevated. A house built on sand may rise quickly, but it cannot withstand the storm (Matthew 7:24–27). Respect God’s process, remain faithful in today’s assignment, and allow Him to build your life step by step. Those who merely jump may rise suddenly, but those who grow will stand firmly and endure.
Prayer Nugget: Father, deliver me from the temptation of shortcuts. Give me the grace to grow steadily in wisdom, character, favour, and purpose until I become everything You have ordained for me, in Jesus’ name.
