Abundant Life (3)

Date: Monday, 24th August, 2026

Text: Galatians 5:22–23

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Abundant life is not primarily measured by material possessions, financial wealth or earthly success. It is a life that produces abundant spiritual fruit. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance” (Galatians 5:22–23).

Abundant life is to be rich in faith, hope and love. “Now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity” (1 Corinthians 13:13). You may have little materially and yet be rich in faith, full of hope and overflowing with love.

Jesus said, “A man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth” (Luke 12:15). Your financial status on earth may change, but you must never become poor in faith, hope, love, joy, peace and the knowledge of God. True riches are the treasures that money cannot buy.

Above all, abundant life is to be rich towards God (Luke 12:21). Our greatest pursuit should not be the accumulation of earthly wealth but growing in our relationship with God and investing in eternal treasures. “Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven” (Matthew 6:20).

Prayer Nugget: Father, make me rich towards You. Let my life abound in the fruit of the Spirit and increase me in faith, hope and love. Whether I have much or little materially, may I never be spiritually poor, in Jesus’ name.
