Exhortation:
Many young people today desire to become rich overnight, and that desire often pushes them toward scams, fraudulent schemes, and other shady dealings. Others place their hopes in betting, believing that one jackpot will change their lives forever. Yet Scripture gives a wiser path: “Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase” (Proverbs 13:11).
The promise of instant wealth often hides a dangerous trap. Many who suddenly acquire what they have not grown to manage eventually lose it through wasteful living, poor decisions, or the same shortcuts that brought it. Money without character, discipline, and wisdom is difficult to sustain. God is more interested in building the person before increasing the possessions.
Choose the path of honest labour, diligent stewardship, and steady growth. What God builds gradually is more enduring than what shortcuts produce suddenly. Do not envy quick success; pursue godly character, faithful work, and wisdom, for lasting prosperity grows from a life established on God’s principles.
Prayer Nugget: Father, deliver me from the desire for dishonest or shortcut wealth. Give me the grace to work diligently, grow in wisdom and character, and prosper through Your righteous principles, in Jesus’ name.
