Exhortation:
There are no human words sufficient to describe the beauty, joy, glory, and peace of Heaven. The most beautiful place on earth cannot compare with the home Christ is preparing for His people. Jesus gave this comforting assurance: “In my Father’s house are many mansions… I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2). Heaven is real, and our greatest preparation should be to make it there.
Because Heaven is eternal, it is worth every sacrifice required to enter it. Jesus said, “If thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off… it is better for thee to enter into life” (Matthew 18:8–9). He was teaching that no sin, pleasure, relationship, or possession is worth losing eternal life.
Live each day with eternity in view. Guard your heart, obey God’s Word, and refuse to exchange everlasting joy for temporary pleasures. Whatever this world offers will pass away, but those who remain faithful to Christ will inherit a Kingdom that will never end.
Prayer Nugget: Father, fix my heart on eternity. Give me grace to forsake every sin and remain faithful to Christ until I enter the glorious home He has prepared for me, in Jesus’ name.
