Text: Jeremiah 32:27

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

The overall Landlord of the Earth says, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” -Jeremiah 32:27. He has the sovereign right to bypass protocols and bless you. He can override panel or board decisions to achieve His aims and objectives in your life.

Potiphar, the captain of the Egyptian king’s guard bought a slave boy called Joseph. He was impressed by his intelligence and skills and put him in charge of his household. But the tide of events turned against the innocent boy and he was locked up in prison for two whole years.

All hopes seemed lost for the Jewish prisoner. It was as though he was going to rot in jail because he had no family, friend or lawyer to plead his case. He was forgotten and abandoned in the prison.

However, there is a God in Heaven, the Lawgiver, the King of kings and the Chief Judge of the whole Earth who stepped into Joseph’s case and overrode the decision of Potiphar. The case against Joseph was dismissed and he was discharged and acquitted. As if that was not enough, Pharaoh promoted the slave boy to become the Prime Minister and Second in Command to the king- Genesis 39-41.

I don’t know the desperate or difficult situation in which you have found yourself at this time. Maybe your situation looks hopeless and all your family and friends have abandoned you. Don’t worry; just love God like Joseph; your waiting time is almost over. The God of the whole Earth will remember and vindicate you in Jesus name.

Prayer Nugget: Father, because nothing is too difficult for you, please step into my situation this season in Jesus name.

Text: Isaiah 45:1-7

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Since the Earth belongs to the Lord he controls the hearts of everybody whether they realize it or not. The word of God says, “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.” Proverbs 21:1. He can influence the hearts of important people to favour you.

Whether the nations like it or not God rules in the affairs of men. Some people think God’s activity is restricted to the church world alone. But the truth is that He controls the events of the globe including politics, sports, entertainment and anything you can think of.

He is the Judge: who puts down one, and exalts another- Psalm 75:6-7. Therefore, your promotion is in his hands, not in the hands of any mortal. Fear not! He will work things out in your favour in Jesus name.

Even in countries that regard themselves as secular, God is still the One ruling there. Cyrus was a pagan king who did not acknowledge God but He still used him to accomplish divine agenda. God referred to him as “my anointed”. In other words, Cyrus was specially chosen by God to accomplish a specific divine objective- Isaiah 45:1-7.

If you are an unbeliever and God used you to achieve a special divine purpose does it mean you are acceptable to him? No! Outside are the dogs- the sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie- Revelation 22:15

No matter how useful a dog is to you, you cannot name it as part of your children. A dog is still a dog. Why not repent and be converted today so that your transgressions can be blotted out and your sins forgiven?

God is willing to name you as one of His own children. Only Sons and Daughters will inherit God’s kingdom not dogs. Will you surrender to Him today?

Prayer Nugget: Father, because you are the Controller of times and seasons; let things work together for my good this season in Jesus name.

Text: 1 Corinthians 3:6

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

When we say everything you own does not belong to you, not even your life; somebody may disagree because he worked hard to earn them. But such a person has forgotten that some other people worked harder than him and got nothing out of it.

You can be a fantastic business strategist with highly impressive action plan but still experience colossal failure in the implementation due to reasons beyond your human control. Paul the Apostle wrote, “I planted, Apollos watered but God made it grow.” 1 Corinthians 3:6

The horse may be prepared for battle but safety and victory comes from the Lord- Proverbs 21:31. Therefore, if you come back from that battle victorious don’t give the credit to your military skills or battle experience.

The successful driver is the one who arrived safely and not necessarily the man with the driver’s licence.

Always give glory to God for anything you achieve; don’t boast and don’t mock those who are still struggling. Just remain humble and grateful to the One who showed you mercy.

A couple may be both medically certified okay and yet find it difficult to conceive. No matter how hard they try they would be fruitless except if God decides to show them mercy. That is why the word of God says, it is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth but of God that showeth mercy- Romans 9:16.

If you are therefore a recipient of God’s mercy, why not extend the same to others?

Prophetic Nugget: May the invisible hand of God work in your favour this season in Jesus name.

Text: Psalm 24:1-2

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

The overall Landlord of the Earth is the Almighty God himself. He is the One who issues and signs the “Certificate of Occupancy” (C of O) for all the residents of the world. He can decide to issue it and he can also decide to revoke it at any time. Nobody can question his authority.

In today’s text, the Psalmist says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein, for He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters.” Psalm 24:1-2

Those things we own are not really ours; we are just like Temporary Caretakers. Your salary, income, investments, property, spouse, children and even your life are not yours! The earlier we realized this, the better for us.

Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Corinthian church asked, “For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not? 1 Corinthians 4:7b

If they are not ours, then it means we would give account of them to the Real Owner.

Jesus Christ told a parable of a rich but foolish man. This rich fool is a man with a prosperous farm, who has just had a bountiful harvest and had no more space to store the crops. He decided to build bigger barns that would accommodate the bountiful harvest so that he would take life easy and have those good things for many years. In response, God says to the man, “You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?” Luke 12:20

He lost his life that night because he was selfish and didn’t acknowledge the Giver of the gifts. If he had given thanks to God and remembered to share some of the excess with the poor and needy, his life would have been preserved.

Whatever God has put in your care, for example, your life and belongings are meant to be used for His pleasure and not yours.

Prayer Nugget: Father, thank you for my life and everything you have blessed me with. Help me to always be selfless and to please you with all my belongings in Jesus name.

God Knows You

Date: Tuesday, 20th August, 2024

Text: 1 Corinthians 10:13

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

God is a loving God. He is ever-mindful of you. He knows you more than you know yourself. Your peculiar situation is not hidden before Him. He is aware of your weaknesses and your strengths.

Jesus knows your daily struggles and he is willing to help you. Your limitations are not unknown to him. He is seated at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for you. He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you.

He knows your native name and language; he prefers to speak to you in the very language you understand. If he wants to speak to an illiterate he won’t use complicated language. He would prefer to come down to his level.

If he wants to speak to a literate, he would speak to him in the language relevant to his field of knowledge. For example, if he wants to speak to a Mathematician, he may decide to draw graphs or use equations to illustrate spiritual information.

If he was talking to a child he may decide to use cartoon-like characters to drive home divine messages.

The devil may tempt you but the Lord is faithful and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it- 1 Corinthians 10:13.

The prosperity of your Spirit, Soul and Body is of paramount interest to him. Reciprocate his love by coming to him as you are and surrendering completely to him; he will wash you and sanctify you.

He is bigger than your challenges; look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith and he will see you through.

Prayer Nugget: Father, thank you because you know me. Please, show me your mercy and help me to always be at the centre of your will in Jesus name.

All Shall Be Well

Date: Sunday, 18th August, 2024

Text: Isaiah 3:10-11

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

No matter what the situations we are going through we must always remember that our Redeemer Lives forevermore. Don’t allow any condition to make your head bow down in dejection or discouragement. God has not forgotten you and His plans for your tomorrow are intact.

In Isaiah 3:10:11 says, “Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! It shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.”

Christ in us is our hope of glory. Indeed weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning- Psalm 30:5. The night becomes darkest just before the break of the dawn. Things may appear tough now but don’t be dismayed, it will not remain so forever. There is a saying that tough times never last but tough people do. This too would soon pass- the dark cloud will soon pass away and the Sun will shine again in Jesus name.

Remain steadfast and unmoveable. Lift your head up in faith and confidence. Don’t let anything rob you of your joy. Let the joy of the Lord continually be your strength. Keep bouncing in the Lord and you will indeed overcome in Jesus name.

Let your heart be at peace with your Maker and your Saviour, Jesus Christ. Be at peace with all men. The Lord says, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither be afraid.” John 14:27

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

It shall be well with you.

Prayer Nugget: Father, thank you because my future is guaranteed in you in Jesus name.

Be Like Little Children (3)

Date: Saturday, 17th August, 2024

Text: 1 Corinthians 14:20

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

If you are a deep thinker who ponders on many of God’s creation you would realize there is a lot to learn. For example, when you take a good look at the birds of the air- which do not plant or harvest or store away in barns, and yet are being constantly fed by God you will learn to have more faith in God and worry less.

As poisonous as the serpent is, there is something good we can learn from it. Though it is not a friend of humans but the word of God says we should be imbibe its wisdom and blend it with the innocence of dove.

The word of God also says we can learn from the work ethics of ants and become wiser in our time management and industry.

When God says we should be like children he is not asking us to behave childishly or exhibit immaturity. However, he is asking us to imbibe certain traits of little children that can help our relationship with him.

In his first epistle to the Corinthian church, Apostle Paul wrote saying, “Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.”1 Corinthians 14:20.

In other words, God is saying, “As far as evil is concerned, maintain the innocence and inexperience of a little child but in the understanding of godliness and in the fruit of the Holy Spirit be mature.”

Prophetic Nugget: Father, please, give me the enablement to always maintain the godly attitude of a little child in Jesus name.

Be Like Little Children (2)

Date: Friday, 16th August, 2024

Text: Hebrews 12:4-11

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Little children generally trust their parents. At a very young age they strongly believe that whatever their parents say must be correct and true. In fact, they even believe their parents can do all things and can afford anything.

They are tender-hearted and very teachable; that is why a child can learn multiple languages at the same time while he is still very little. Correction is easier when a child is still little; he accepts it with love and adjusts accordingly.

Lessons taught to little children stay with them for a long time; in fact, most times it stays with them for the rest of their lives. This why the word of God says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

God is looking for souls that will trust in Him like little children trust their parents. The Lord is in search of people that will be open to divine correction and discipline without taking offense.

Most people are very difficult to correct. Even when they know they have done the wrong thing; their ego and arrogance will not allow them to own up .They resist chastisement and scorn rebuke. They see whoever is correcting them as their enemy.

But the word of God says, “He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.” Proverbs 29:1

The Bible also says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”  Hebrews 12: 5b-6

Can we humble ourselves and be like little children?

Prayer Nugget: I reject every heart that resists divine chastisement in Jesus name. I ask for a humble and teachable spirit in Jesus name.

Be Like Little Children

Date: Wednesday, 14th August, 2024

Text: Matthew 18:1-6,10

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

One of the beauties of childhood is innocence. To be innocent is to lack deceit or corruption; it means to be pure in your thoughts; to be harmless with no evil intentions.

Little children don’t bottle things up in their minds; they don’t keep malice and they readily forgive. They find it very easy to let go of offenses. When they smile; they do so from the depth of their hearts; same thing with when they weep.

They say things as they are; without pretense or hypocrisy. When they love they do so genuinely and when they dislike someone or something they don’t hide their feelings. Little children are humble and they interact with people freely without bitterness or ill-feelings.

As far as God is concerned, ultimate eternal greatness is reserved for those that will humble themselves and be like little children. This is one of the reasons why Jesus Christ said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

God has so much regard for children that he dispatches a special category of heavenly angels to protect them. In Matthew 18:10, Jesus said, “Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.”

In fact, it is mandatory for anyone who wants to make heaven to become like little children. In today’s text, Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of the people, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:2

Do you want to make it to heaven at last? If yes, be like little children.

Prayer Nugget: Father, I ask for the heart of a little child from today onwards in Jesus name.

Secret Disciples (2)

Date: Tuesday, 13th August, 2024

Text: 2 Timothy 2:8-9

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

The Gospel of Christ cannot be caged; where there is a will there will definitely be a way. Paul the Apostle was imprisoned but the Spirit of God in him cannot be caged. He wrote most of the gospel epistles while he was in jail. He said, “This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained.” 2 Timothy 2:8b-9

There are some countries where Christians are not allowed to practice their faith openly. The government forbids gatherings of believers and even criminalize Bible possession or carriage. They think by so doing they have succeeded in controlling the spread of the gospel.

However, we thank God for the internet and the social media. The gospel is accessible to everybody; even in the remotest parts of the world or where there are no physical worship centres. The Bible is available in electronic forms in virtually all major languages of the world. In such places, believers may not carry the bible in their hands but they store the word of God in their hearts. Therefore, the gospel knows no boundaries.

There are secret disciples of Jesus Christ all over the world even with all the harsh restrictions in communist countries. They may not gather physically together for fear of being prosecuted but they gather virtually with other brethren online, feeding on the word of God and fellowshipping with the brethren. They evangelize and win souls using the power of technology via email and social media.

Don’t be surprised if you get to Heaven and meet millions of native born saints from countries like Saudi Arabia, North Korea, Indonesia, China, Pakistan and other places where the gospel seems not to be popular.

All the while they were on Earth and people mistake them to belong to the other religions due to their dressing or physical appearance; but many of them are secret disciples of Christ, well recognized in Heaven.

If we can still find faithful believers in difficult countries where there are harsh restrictions, how much more in your own corner of the world where you are allowed to practice your faith openly! What will be your excuse if you miss Heaven and go to Hell with all the freedom of worship that you enjoy?

Prayer Nugget: Father, by your mercy and grace I will live holy for the rest of my life and promote the gospel any where I find myself in the world in Jesus name.
