Exhortation:
Prison doors are supernaturally loosed at night when believers seek God in prayer. Peter was kept in prison, but “prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him” (Acts 12:5). As the church prayed, an angel came, his chains fell off, and the prison door opened.
Paul and Silas also experienced supernatural deliverance at midnight. “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God” (Acts 16:25). Suddenly, there was a great earthquake, the prison foundations were shaken, the doors opened, and “every one’s bands were loosed” (Acts 16:26).
Are you bound by the chains of the enemy or trapped in a situation that appears impossible? Do not resign yourself to fate or wait for the worst to happen; arise and seek the Lord. “Arise, cry out in the night” (Lamentations 2:19), for “He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder” (Psalm 107:14).
Brace yourself in faith, for the Lord is able to turn your night into a testimony. “The snare is broken, and we are escaped: our help is in the name of the LORD” (Psalm 124:7–8). Every chain shall break, every prison door shall open, and your deliverance shall manifest in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Nugget: Father, arise in Your power tonight and break every chain of bondage around my life. Open every prison door and deliver me from every power holding me captive. Let my night end in supernatural freedom and testimony, in Jesus’ name.
