Work Out Your Salvation (8)

Date: Sunday, 26th July, 2026

Text: Matthew 28:19–20

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Working out your salvation involves active service in God’s kingdom. Jesus commanded, “Occupy till I come” (Luke 19:13). Every believer has been entrusted with gifts, opportunities, and a divine assignment. We are called to use them faithfully in advancing God’s kingdom through soul winning, discipleship, service, and good works.

An idle believer is an easy target for the enemy. When we become spiritually inactive, we create room for temptation and compromise. David’s greatest moral failure occurred when he remained at home instead of going to battle with his army (2 Samuel 11:1–4). His idleness opened the door to sin and its painful consequences.

God has called us to be labourers in His harvest field. Make yourself available for evangelism, mentoring new believers, serving in your local church, and using your time and talents for God’s glory. Those who remain busy doing the Father’s will are less likely to be distracted by the enemy and more likely to finish their race with joy.

Prayer Nugget: Father, fill my heart with passion for soul winning, keep me spiritually productive, and help me to occupy faithfully until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, in Jesus’ name.

Bible in One Year: Isaiah 38–40
