Wisdom to Refrain from Anger (3)

Text : Proverbs 15:1

Author : Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation :

Words have power to calm or to ignite. Scripture teaches that a soft answer turns away wrath, but harsh words stir up anger. The way you respond determines the outcome of many situations (Colossians 4:6).

When faced with provocation, your response matters more than the offense. A gentle answer diffuses tension and brings peace. Wisdom chooses calmness over confrontation (James 3:17).

Speaking softly does not mean weakness—it is strength under control. It reflects maturity and understanding. It preserves relationships and prevents escalation.

Make it a habit to respond with grace. Let your words be guided by wisdom and love. As you do, you will overcome anger with peace.

Prayer Nugget : Father, guide my words; help me to respond with gentleness and wisdom in every situation, in Jesus’ name.

Bible in One Year : 1 Chronicles 17–19
