Text: Hebrews 12:1
Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation:
Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending. This truth assures us that our journey is not random; the One who authored our beginning already knows our end. When God is involved, no season of your life is wasted, and no effort is unseen.
God’s desire is not only that we start well, but that we also finish well. Many begin with excitement but lose strength along the way. Scripture reminds us that endurance is required for those who will see the fulfilment of God’s promises, for only those who endure to the end will be saved (Matthew 24:13).
Paul understood the power of focus. Despite challenges, opposition, and personal limitations, he pressed toward the mark, keeping his eyes on the prize ahead. A strong finish requires discipline, resilience, and an unwavering focus on God’s calling.
Strength to finish does not come from self-effort alone; it flows from God’s sustaining grace. Scripture reminds us in Hebrews 12:1 that we are to run our race with endurance, laying aside every weight that hinders us. As you journey through this year, remain steadfast, and by God’s grace, you will finish strong.
Prayer Nugget: Father, grant me grace to remain steadfast and finish strong in Jesus name.
Bible in One Year: Leviticus 8-10
