Text: John 14:26
Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation:
God never intended that we journey through life relying solely on human strength and wisdom. That is why He gave us the Holy Spirit as our ever-present Helper. Jesus assured His disciples that the Spirit would teach, guide, and remind them of truth, making daily living clearer and more purposeful (John 14:26).
Human effort reaches its limits quickly, but the Holy Spirit supplies divine strength that goes beyond natural ability. Scripture reminds us that progress in God’s kingdom is not by might or by power, but by the Spirit of the Lord (Zechariah 4:6). When we depend on Him, pressure gives way to grace and striving is replaced with rest.
A life led by the Spirit enjoys accuracy and victory. The Holy Spirit checks wrong impulses, redirects wrong steps, and aligns the believer with God’s will. Walking in the Spirit keeps us from errors that cost time and destiny, and it produces a life of freedom and consistency, as encouraged in Galatians 5:16.
As you move through this year, make dependence on the Holy Spirit your daily posture. Yield to His promptings in prayer, decisions, and relationships. Even in moments of weakness or uncertainty, He intercedes for us and leads us into God’s perfect will.
Prayer Nugget: Holy Spirit, guide me and empower me throughout this year in Jesus name.
