Living By Faith

Date: Sunday, 11th January 2026

Text: Hebrews 11:1-6

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Faith is the currency of the Kingdom and the language heaven understands. Scripture declares that “The just shall live by faith” (Habakkuk 2:4), establishing faith as a lifestyle, not an occasional response. Without faith, it is impossible to please God or walk intimately with Him. Faith gives substance to hope and confidence in God’s Word even before results appear.

The New Year will inevitably present uncertainties, unanswered questions, and unfamiliar paths. Yet faith anchors the heart in God’s promises, knowing that,“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). While circumstances speak fear, faith speaks assurance rooted in God’s faithfulness. Those who walk by faith see beyond present realities to divine possibilities.

Every step taken in faith provokes a divine response. God honours those who trust Him completely, for “Without faith it is impossible to please Him” and those who come to Him must believe (Hebrews 11:6). Faith activates heaven’s resources and aligns human obedience with divine power. When faith is exercised, God intervenes with authority and grace.

This year, consciously refuse fear and deliberately embrace faith. What you consistently believe will ultimately shape what you experience, as faith grows by hearing the Word of God. As courage replaces anxiety and confidence replaces doubt, your journey becomes a testimony of God’s glory. Choose to live by faith, and your path will reflect heaven’s reality.

Reflective Nugget: Ask yourself,What fears must I intentionally replace with faith as I journey through this year?”

Bible in One Year: Genesis 36-38
