Text: 1 Peter 5:8

Exhortation:
There is a saying that a man’s meat is another man’s poison. A situation that bring tears to someone’s face also brings smiles to another. Let me illustrate my assertion. An average person prays to God to live long. If any body sees a coffin in his dreams, he immediately starts to pray and reject it, right?
But we all know that some people’s legitimate business is casket making. They make caskets of varying sizes for both the old and the young. If a casket manufacturer prays to God for rapid sales; for example if he prays and says, “God please, let me sell at least 500 coffins per month” and God decides to answer the prayer what do you think that implies? Or has he sinned by praying to sell rapidly?
May you not be a victim but a victor in the battle of life in Jesus name.
Imagine another scenario in which a pharmacist who has invested so much money in producing antimalaria, cough and catarrh drugs. If his business is not moving as he expects and he prays to God for boom in the sale of his drugs; if God decides to answer his prayer, what do you think will happen?
As you are praying to God not to fall sick, the pharmacist is praying for the opportunity to sell his drugs. Whose prayer will God answer?
You are praying against anything that can lead you to a court case; but the lawyer is praying to God that he should have many people with court cases coming to him with their legal fees. Whose prayer will God answer?
The above scenarios and more point to the fact that there is a great struggle going on in the realm of the spirit. You can’t afford to be careless and indifferent.
Watch and pray so that the devil will not kick you around like a football. The word of God says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8
Prophetic Nugget: May you not be a victim but a victor in the battles of life in Jesus name.
