Exhortation:
Satan’s lies thrive on the ignorance of men. People perish because they lack the knowledge of the word of God. Many are in errors today because they are ignorant of the holy scriptures- Matthew 22:29. They are blown away by different winds of doctrines flying around.
To know him personally you must be an addicted student of the word of God. For that to happen you must be a lover of his word. The psalmist says, “I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.” Psalm 119:15-16
Prophet Jeremiah enjoyed the word to the point of saying, “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.” Jeremiah 15:16
One of the richest men that ever lived once treasured the word of God so much that he said, “I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.”Job 23:12
No one can deceive you when you are in the light. The word of God is the light of men. Fill your heart with more than enough light so that darkness will have no place in your heart.
Prayer Nugget: Father, I desire to know you personally; please grant me a heart that hungers and thirsts for your word in Jesus name.
