Text: Revelation 12:7-11
Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation:
The word of God says, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:34
Who brings the trouble? It’s certainly not from God but the devil. He moves about seeking for those he may devour. Give him no foothold. Submit therefore to God but resist the devil and he shall flee from you- James 4:7.
One effective way to knock the head of the serpent (the devil) and put him where he belongs is to use the same strategy that was used to defeat him in Heaven.
When war broke out in Heaven, Michael and his angels fought with the dragon (the devil, the serpent) and the dragon and his angels fought back, but they did not prevail; they lost their place in heaven as they were defeated when the game changers were introduced into the battle. The word of God says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” Revelation 12:11
There is a word of God appropriate for every situation of life. When the devil rears up his ugly head, confront him with the right scripture. For example, when you are sick, ask sickness to disappear from your body because, your body is the temple of the living God where strangers are not allowed to dwell. And by the stripes of Jesus we were healed” Psalm 18:45; Isaiah 53:5; 1Peter 2:24; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.
Are you harassed by the enemy? Make use of the word of God which says, ‘Let God arise and let his enemies be scattered” Psalm 68:1
Action Nugget: Make it a habit to back up all your prayers with written word of God and by so doing claim God’s promises and put the devil where he belongs.
