Text : Psalm 103:2

Exhortation :

Today is the second day on our 9-day devotional journey, and we are exploring the second letter in the word GRATITUDE. Therefore, our theme is R – Remembrance. Gratitude deepens when we intentionally recall all that God has done. A grateful heart is a remembering heart; it never forgets the works of God.

One of the greatest threats to thanksgiving is forgetfulness. When we forget past deliverances, we begin to doubt present help. The psalmist charges us to bless the Lord and not forget all His benefits, because remembrance fuels confidence in God’s faithfulness (Deuteronomy 8:2).

Remembrance strengthens faith in difficult seasons. When you look back at how God made a way before, you gain assurance that He will do it again. Every testimony from your past is a weapon against present fear and uncertainty. What God has done before is a guarantee of what He can still do.

Take time today to reflect on His goodness—answered prayers, unseen protections, and unexpected provisions. The more you remember, the more your heart overflows with gratitude. Let remembrance become a daily discipline that keeps your faith alive and your praise unceasing.

Prayer Nugget : Father, help me to always remember your goodness and faithfulness in my life; let my heart never forget your benefits, but continually overflow with thanksgiving, in Jesus’ name.

Bible in One Year : 1 Kings 1–2
