Exhortation:

Jesus revealed a profound spiritual principle when He said, “Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you” (Mark 4:24). Our growth in God is not accidental; it is directly connected to how we receive and respond to His truth. The measure of attention, faith, and obedience we apply determines the measure of revelation and increase we experience.

Obedience opens the door for greater light. When truth is welcomed, practiced, and honored, spiritual understanding expands. However, Scripture also cautions us, “Take heed therefore how ye hear” (Luke 8:18), reminding us that careless or passive hearing can lead to gradual spiritual decline. Neglecting revealed truth slowly dims sensitivity to God’s voice.

God increases light where faith is consistently exercised. Those who walk faithfully in what they know are entrusted with deeper insight and stronger conviction. Every step of obedience sharpens discernment and strengthens spiritual capacity. The measure you use today determines the light you will walk in tomorrow.

Prayer Nugget: Father, please, teach me to hear your Word with diligence and respond with wholehearted obedience in Jesus’ name.
