Text: Philippians 3:10
Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation:
That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection is the cry of a heart that longs for deeper intimacy with Christ. This season, we are reminded that Christianity is not merely about religion, but about relationship with the risen Lord. The resurrection of Jesus is not just an event to celebrate, but a life to experience daily. “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life” (John 11:25).
Knowing Christ goes beyond head knowledge; it is a personal encounter that transforms the believer from within. Apostle Paul, despite his spiritual achievements, still yearned for more of Christ. This teaches us that our pursuit of God must be continuous and passionate. “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you” (James 4:8). The more we seek Him, the more He reveals Himself to us.
The power of His resurrection speaks of victory over sin, death, and every limitation of life. This same power is at work in every believer, enabling us to live above fear, failure, and bondage. Easter reminds us that no situation is beyond redemption when Christ is involved. As it is written, “According to the working of his mighty power… when he raised him from the dead” (Ephesians 1:19-20).
Therefore, let this season stir up a deeper hunger to know Him intimately and walk daily in resurrection power. It is not enough to celebrate Easter; we must experience its reality in our lives. As we meditate on His sacrifice and victory, may our lives reflect His glory. Let this be our daily confession and pursuit: that we may truly know Him.
Prayer Nugget: Father, please, help me to know Christ beyond head knowledge; help me to have a personal encounter that transforms me from within in Jesus name
