Renewed Strength for the Journey

Date: Friday, 9th January 2026

Text: Isaiah 40:29–31

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

The journey of a new year demands strength beyond human capacity. Human energy fades, enthusiasm wanes, and motivation can fail, but divine strength never runs dry. God gives power to the faint and multiplies strength to those who acknowledge their weakness (Isaiah 40:29).

Those who wait on the Lord are not idle; they are being divinely recharged. Waiting is not wasting; it is not weakness but spiritual intelligence, a posture that attracts fresh strength from heaven. Such people rise above weariness, discouragement, and delay, soaring on God’s strength rather than struggling on their own (Isaiah 40:31).

God strengthens His people from within, not merely for a moment but for a journey. His strength sustains consistency, enabling believers to move from strength to strength despite pressure and opposition. What human resolve cannot sustain, divine empowerment preserves (Psalm 84:7).

As you walk through this year, daily dependence on God is non-negotiable. Grace is supplied for every season, every assignment, and every challenge. When human strength fails, God’s power is perfected in yielded weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Prayer Nugget: Father, renew my strength for this year. I receive grace to run my race and not grow weary. By Your power, I will finish strong, in Jesus’ name.
