Text: Matthew 25:1–13
Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation:
Beloved, welcome to the month of October, the 10th month of the year. In scripture, the number ten signifies divine order, responsibility, and completion. For instance, God gave Israel the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1–17); Jesus told the parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1–13); and God commanded His people to bring the tithe (ten percent) as a covenant of responsibility (Malachi 3:10).
Spiritually, October represents a season of order, accountability, and alignment with God’s will. Again, the number five signifies grace; therefore, 10 = 5 + 5 = double grace. October is thus regarded as a month of divine help, favour, and supernatural empowerment.
Because October ushers us into the final quarter of the year, it is also a time when the enemy seeks to sow delay, loss, and discouragement. This is why as believers, we must remain sensitive, watchful, prayerful, and rooted in faith. In this month, may you experience the manifestation of God’s order and the overflow of His double grace in your life and family in Jesus name Let us pray.
