Exhortation:

Apostle Paul boldly declares that if Christ be not risen, then our preaching is vain and our faith is also vain. This assertion underscores the centrality of the resurrection in the Christian faith. Without it, the gospel loses its power and meaning. “And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins” (1 Corinthians 15:17). The resurrection is the foundation upon which our salvation stands.

Paul further reveals that without the resurrection, believers are false witnesses and victims of misplaced hope. It would mean that all testimonies about Christ’s victory are empty claims. But thank God, the resurrection is a proven truth that validates our faith and affirms our hope. “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept” (1 Corinthians 15:20). Our faith is alive because our Saviour lives.

This truth also assures us that our labor in Christ is not in vain. Every sacrifice, act of obedience, and service rendered in His name carries eternal value. If Christ had not risen, then our hope would be limited to this life alone. But because He lives, we have assurance of eternal glory. “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast… forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Therefore, let us hold firmly to this unshakable truth and live with confidence in the risen Christ. Our faith is not built on assumptions but on divine reality. The resurrection guarantees our victory, both now and in eternity. Let this conviction strengthen your walk and deepen your devotion to Him.

Action Nugget: Take a moment today to reaffirm your faith in the risen Christ through prayer and thanksgiving. Share the message of the resurrection with someone, letting your life testify that Christ indeed lives.
