Text: Psalm 34:8
Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation:
God’s goodness is the foundation of our gratitude. When you truly see God’s goodness, thanksgiving becomes your natural response. Every breath we take, every provision we receive, and every protection we enjoy is a reflection of His unfailing kindness. The psalmist in today’s text invites us to taste and see that the Lord is good—an experience that transforms perspective.
Often, we overlook His goodness because we focus on what is missing rather than what is present. Yet, His goodness is constant, not conditional. Scripture declares that the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord (Psalm 33:5), reminding us that His kindness surrounds us daily, even in seasons we do not fully understand.
Recognizing God’s goodness shifts our hearts from complaint to contentment. It teaches us that no matter the situation, there is always something to thank Him for. Gratitude begins when we deliberately acknowledge His hand in both the big and small details of our lives.
Let today be a moment of reflection and awareness. Count your blessings, name them one by one, and you will see that His goodness has never failed you. The more you see His goodness, the more your heart will overflow with thanksgiving.
Prayer Nugget: Father, open my eyes to continually see your goodness in my life; help me to remain grateful in all circumstances and never take your blessings for granted, in Jesus’ name.
