Text: Acts 2:1-4

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

A hot stove will not be a suitable hiding place for cockroaches, houseflies and other disease carriers. But the opposite is also true. A life that carries the fire of the Holy Spirit will be too hot for demons and other strangers to inhabit.

Fire burns in the bones of those who store God’s word in their hearts and live by the same. Fire kindles in the lives of those who run with the urgency of the great commission of Christ who said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-21

Our God is a Consuming Fire. When you present yourself before him with a surrendered and an open heart, his fire purifies you just like raw gold is purified by fire. Isaiah tasted of that fire and he never remained the same. His ministry took a brand new turn. Isaiah 6:1-8

One hundred and twenty (120) men and women gathered together seeking god’s face for several days and before they knew it the fire of God fell on them and they began to speak with new tongues praising the Lord- Acts 2:1-4. Timidity gave way to boldness and they became carriers of his power. When you fellowship regularly with carriers of his fire, iron will sharpen iron and you too will catch the fire.

In the presence of God is fullness of joy and pleasure. Get filled with that joy and pleasure and don’t be empty.
