Exhortation
Jesus described the good soil as a heart that hears the Word, understands it, retains it, and responds in obedience. Such a heart does not only receive the Word with joy but allows it to take deep root and produce fruit. Fruitfulness is the evidence that the Word has truly been received and embraced.
While believers may not all bear the same quantity of fruit, every genuine believer is expected to bear fruit. Some yield thirtyfold, some sixtyfold, and others a hundredfold, but barrenness is never God’s intention. As Jesus taught, growth may differ, yet a fruitless life signals a problem at the root.
Spiritual activity must not be mistaken for spiritual productivity. Busyness without fruit does not please God. The true measure of spiritual health is not how much we do, but what our lives produce for God’s glory, as echoed in John 15:8 where fruitfulness brings honour to the Father.
This season calls for heart preparation. A receptive, obedient, and disciplined heart creates room for lasting impact. When the heart is cultivated, the Word thrives, and fruit becomes inevitable. God desires a life that consistently reflects His nature and advances His purpose.
Key Nugget: The measure of spiritual health is fruitfulness, not activity.
