Text: Proverbs 19:21

Exhortation:

Purpose is the divine reason behind existence. No life is accidental; God created every person with intention, vision, and destiny in mind (Jeremiah 29:11). When a man understands that God has a plan for his life, life itself gains meaning, direction, and hope. Purpose answers the question of why you are here.

Many people are busy but unfulfilled because activity without purpose leads to exhaustion. When purpose is discovered, focus is restored and clarity emerges (Proverbs 19:21). Though many plans may compete for attention, it is God’s counsel that ultimately stands. Purpose aligns our desires with heaven’s agenda and keeps us from running aimlessly.

Living on purpose protects us from distraction and wasted effort. Scripture reminds us that we are God’s workmanship, created for good works prepared in advance (Ephesians 2:10). A purposeful life is a directed life—one where steps are ordered by God and energy is invested in what truly matters.

As you journey through this year, make a conscious decision to pursue God’s purpose wholeheartedly. Trust that the Lord will perfect all that concerns you (Psalm 138:8). Fulfillment is not found in chasing many things, but in faithfully walking in the path God has designed for you.

Reflective Nugget: Ask yourself, “Am I aligning my daily actions, decisions, and priorities with God’s purpose for my life?”
