Exhortation:

The fifth ingredient in the spiritual wrestling journey is Tenacity — the steadfast determination to keep praying, believing, and standing until the promise becomes reality.

Our Lord Jesus Christ introduced the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1–8, teaching that, “Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” The widow’s unwavering insistence moved even an unjust judge to act. How much more will a righteous God respond to His children who refuse to give up in prayer!

Tenacity is the attitude of Jacob in Genesis 32:26 when he declared, “I will not let Thee go, except Thou bless me.”

After a severe drought and famine that lasted for three and half years, Elijah prayed seven times for rain — not once, not twice, but until he saw a tiny cloud as evidence that God had answered- 1 Kings 18:41–44.

This holy determination attracts divine intervention. Heaven responds to those who cling to God in faith, refusing to be discouraged by delay or silence.

Paul expressed this same spiritual grit in Galatians 6:9: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Tenacity is that inner refusal to quit before the breakthrough. It is the decision to keep fighting, keep believing, and keep declaring until the victory is seen.

Beloved, the strength of your spiritual life is measured by how long you can persist when nothing seems to change. Tenacity is not stubbornness of the flesh; it is steadfastness of the spirit. Those who hold on in faith will always see the faithfulness of God.

Prayer Nugget: Father, give me unwavering tenacity in the place of prayer. Strengthen my faith to hold on until your promises manifest in Jesus name.
