Text: Ephesians 6:12-13
Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation:
When Christ prayed for his persecutors saying, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do”- Luke 23:34. He was seeing beyond the cruelty of the Roman soldiers. He knew the forces contending against him were unseen; the soldiers were merely puppets being remotely manipulated and controlled by higher evil powers.
This is in line with the word of God which says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger]. Ephesians 6:12-13a (AMP)
For instance, when you see people fighting and seriously contending with each other; you have done all you can to intervene and make peace but it won’t work then you should know that there are greater forces fueling the chaos in the background. Instead of criticizing them just take authority over the contending powers and you would see the contention supernaturally disappearing.
If we have this understanding many relationships that have been ripped apart would still be sustained by the Spirit of the living God. Has your home being rocked by the devil and you have tried every psychological and physical technique and it has failed? Now you know better. Take your rightful position and put the devil where he belongs.
Prayer Nugget: I rebuke every power manipulating my life, destiny and relationships in Jesus name.
