Rising Above Tribulations (3)

Date: Thursday, 12th March, 2026

Text: John 16:1

Exhortation:

Our Lord Jesus warned His disciples about tribulation so that they would not be taken by surprise. Foreknowledge prepares the heart for endurance. A believer who understands this truth is better equipped to stand firm when trials arise.

Christ said, “These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended” (John 16:1). Tribulation can shake those who expect the Christian life to be free from difficulties. But the wise believer remains steady, knowing that challenges are part of the journey.

Trials are not meant to destroy faith but to reveal its strength. Just as storms test the foundation of a building, tribulations reveal the depth of our trust in God. Through such seasons, faith is refined and strengthened.

Scripture therefore urges believers to remain vigilant and courageous. “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong” (1 Corinthians 16:13). A prepared heart develops resilience and perseverance.

Beloved, let the words of Christ anchor your heart today. When tribulations come, remember that your Lord already told you they would. With this understanding, you can face every trial with courage and unwavering faith.

Prayer Nugget: Father, please, prepare my heart to stand firm in every trial. Help me remain steadfast and unshaken in my faith in Jesus name.
