Exhortation:
Communication is key in any relationship. It enhances closeness among relating parties. Effective communication is a two-way flow. In other words, when you speak with someone, you should expect a feedback from the fellow be it verbally or non-verbally.
Many want to know the mind of God when they are about to take important decisions. But are you on talking terms with the Lord? How is your prayer life? Do you have a regular prayer altar where you frequently meet with the Most High? Why do you have to wait till you want to make very important decisions before you fellowship with your Maker?
God longs for our fellowship. Another word for that is communion. This is what the Apostle Paul meant when he said, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.” 2 Corinthians 13:14
Some people hear from God so easily not because they are special but because of their regular fellowship or communion with the Holy Spirit.
God speaks to his own people in divers ways, not necessarily through audible voice. He may speak in visions, dreams, through his word, inner nudges etc
If you are his own and he decides to speak through a third party like a prophet or any other vessel, it will only be to confirm what he has already told you personally.
When you hear from God from time to time and you obey his leading you will not lack divine direction neither will you be in error.
Reflective Nugget: Don’t be too busy with daily hustles that you lose connection with your Maker.
