Is God’s Arm Too Short?

Exhortation:

On their way to the Promised Land, the Israelites began to desperately crave for meat to the extent that they contemplated returning back to Egypt, their former land of slavery. They began to complain and their murmurings reached God’s ears. The Most High was angry with them because instead of them to humbly make their plea before him with hearts of gratitude, they instead, chose the path of murmuring.

God promised to feed them with meat for one month. As at that time their number was about six hundred thousand men (apart from their wives and children). Moses told God saying, “Here I am among six hundred thousand men on foot, and you say, ‘I will give them meat to eat for a whole month!’ Would they have enough if flocks and herds were slaughtered for them? Would they have enough if all the fish in the sea were caught for them?” Numbers 11:21-22

He allowed his senses to override his faith just as many of us do today. He wondered how that would be possible in the wilderness. But the Lord answered Moses, “Is the Lord’s arm too short? Now you will see whether or not what I say will come true for you.” Numbers 11:23

The arm of God represents his power. When God reveals his arm to you, he reveals his power in your favour.

God eventually proved himself as he made a powerful wind to blow in from the sea, and it blew quail into the area all around the camp. There were so many birds that the ground was covered. They were about three feet deep on the ground.  They went out and gathered quail all that day and all that night. And they gathered quail all the next day too!  The people had so much to eat that they spread the quail meat all around the camp to dry in the sun. There was divine “chicken” everywhere.

Prophetic Nugget: May the Almighty stretch forth his hand in your favour and may he make the impossible possible in your life in Jesus name.
