Exhortation:
As a matter of priority, you must intercede for your immediate (nuclear) family members. They are the closest to you- your flesh and blood. Make it a daily routine to lift them up in prayers to God everyday. If you are married, start from your spouse to your children, mentioning them, one after the other.
Why should your intercession start from your immediate family? It is because Satan’s major agenda is to sow seeds of discord into families and scatter them. Pray for the salvation and spiritual growth of your nuclear family members. Ask the Lord to fill them with his power and spirit on a regular basis.
Ask the Most High to scatter the agenda of the devil against your family. Tell the Lord to foil the plans of the evil one; ask him thwarts the purposes of the devil in their lives. Decree that the plans of the Lord stand firm forever and the purposes of his heart should be established in the lives of your family members – Psalm 33:10-11. Ask that the will of God be done in their lives as it is done in Heaven.
Decree that the snare of the evil ones over your family members is broken; proclaim that they have escaped from the fowler’s trap. Cover them with the blood of Jesus Christ and decree that no arrow of the enemy will touch them and that no weapon forged against them shall prosper.
Extend the prayers to your other family members far and near.
Action Nugget: As a daily routine, always stand in the gap for your family members.
