Text: 2 Samuel 17:23.
Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan
Exhortation:
King David had a special adviser, named Ahithophel whose counsel worked as if it were the very word of God. David always accepted his counsel because they always worked. So the adviser was not used to his counsel being rejected.
However, on a particular occasion his counsel was rejected by Absalom, David’s rebellious son who reigned temporarily as king. Out of arrogance, when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, got to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died- 2 Samuel 17:23.
Wisdom and patience are needed when faced with any form of rejection. Most successful people in the world today have faced rejection at some point or the other in their lives and today they have success stories to tell.
The fact that your visa application to your desired country was declined does not mean your end has come; God has a better idea and plan for your life. Sometimes, rejection may be God’s way of ordering your steps. If you are rejected somewhere try elsewhere. If a door closes another door (a better one) would be opened by God for you elsewhere. The Lord Jesus said, “When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another…” Matthew 10:23a. Prayerfully re-strategize and you will be highly favoured in Jesus name.
Prayer nugget: Father, every where I have been rejected please, open a greater door for me in Jesus name.
