Text: Luke 19:1-10

Exhortation:

God rewards eager worshippers. A very good example was Mary, who rose early on the third day after the crucifixion of Jesus. Her eagerness and devotion distinguished her, and it was no wonder that Jesus appeared to her before even the Apostles (John 20:1–16).

If you are eager to see Him, He will be eager to reveal Himself to you. He has promised, “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).

How eager you are will show in how early you rise to seek Him daily. If you are truly eager to see the Lord, you will seek Him early, for He said, “Those who seek Me early shall find Me” (Proverbs 8:17).

Many people claim to love God but are not eager to meet with Him. They come late to church, neglect personal devotion, and then wonder why they do not experience divine encounters.

Zacchaeus was so eager to see the Lord that, though he was of short stature, he refused to let that be an excuse to miss his moment. He climbed a sycamore tree and longed to see Jesus. His eagerness moved the Lord—Jesus made him the center of His attention that day. Zacchaeus’ hunger for divine encounter attracted recognition and salvation. His life was never the same after that moment (Luke 19:1–10).

You too can become a regular beneficiary of divine attention—if only you will re-order your priorities and seek Jesus eagerly and first in all things. When you put Him first, He will make you first in His dealings and favor.

Prayer Nugget: Lord, rekindle in me a holy eagerness to seek you early and daily. Stir up in me an hunger for your presence in Jesus’ name.
