Exhortation:

The Scripture reveals a powerful truth about the nature and mission of Satan—the deceiver of the whole world. His strategy has not changed since the beginning. He deceived Eve in the garden by twisting God’s Word, and he continues to deceive men and women today through lies, pride, and false promises. His goal remains the same: to separate humanity from the truth that brings life.

But how is the enemy able to lead so many astray, even in an age filled with knowledge and information? One reason is because people love lies more than truth. Many prefer comfort over conviction, and illusion over illumination.

Jesus said in John 3:19: “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.”

The devil exploits this weakness—he feeds men’s appetite for falsehood, appealing to their pride, greed, and lusts. That is why the world easily accepts false doctrines, celebrates immorality, and mocks righteousness. Lies often come dressed attractively, but their end is destruction.

We are living in times when deception is sophisticated—packaged in religion, media, politics, and even relationships.Guard your heart diligently. Test every spirit. Weigh every doctrine. Stay anchored in Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Jesus said in Matthew 22:29, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.” Ignorance of God’s Word is the open door to deception. Therefore, build your life upon the sure foundation of the Word. When you walk in truth, you walk in victory over the deceiver.

Prayer Nugget: Father, please open my eyes to discern deception in every form. Help me to love the light and reject every lie of the enemy in Jesus’ name.
