Victory Over the Spirit of Stagnancy

Date: Thursday, 4th July, 2024

Text: Genesis 26:1-14

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

When you get stuck to a particular spot, it could be discouraging and frustrating. At a point in their wilderness wanderings, the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, “Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.” Deuteronomy 2:2-3. Are you facing such a situation in your life journey? I pray that from now on you will move forward in Jesus name.

It is not a bad thing to start small. Job 8:7 says, “Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.” Start small and grow fast. It is not the will of God that you remain stagnant. Stagnant water will stink; it is only a matter of time. You have to keep going and growing.

We serve a God who is particularly interested in growth and progress. One of the ways to know a man who is blessed is in the progress he makes. Blessing brings multiplication and a forward movement. In Genesis 1:28, God blessed Adam and his wife and God said unto them, “Be fruitful, and multiply …”

Isaac obeyed divine instructions during a famine period and he miraculously progressed. His progress during an economic downtime was exponential. The word of God puts it this way, “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him- Genesis 26:12-14

Many folks make so much movements dancing around in circles with little or no significant progress. Sin and disobedience to God’s Word causes stagnancy.

As you intentionally obey the word of the Lord, your victory over stagnancy is sure in Jesus name.

Prayer Nugget: Father, I will obey your word always, please, cause me to always move forward and wax great in Jesus name.

Victory Over the Zero Spirit

Date: Wednesday, 3rd July, 2024

Text: Mark 5:2-20

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

As we have previously ascertained, the spiritual controls the physical; the invisible controls the visible; the things that are seen were made by the unseen (Hebrews 11:3) and the celestial rules the terrestrial. Having laid the above foundation, it should be easy to understand the series we are about to consider.

The devil has assigned a horde of demons to achieve his aim of stealing, killing and destroying (John 10:10). During his earthly ministry a boy who could not speak was brought to Christ. In healing him, the Lord simply cast out a deaf and dumb spirit and the boy was set free- Mark 9:17-29.

When the devil wants to afflict a man, he simply assigns one of his demons to possess its victim, incapacitate and reduce him to become like the demon. However, when the Spirit of God is engaged, the light of God shines, darkness disappears and the demon loses its grip and is cast out.

In Mathematics zero represents nothing. And anything multiplied by zero is reduced to zero. When the zero demon operates in the life of a man, it reduces that man to nothing. When it enters the life of a champion, he can quickly become an ex-champion and be reduced to nothing. This spirit can drastically reduce a wealthy man to a beggar within a short time.

A very good example of a man who was afflicted by the zero spirit was the man who lived among the tombs. He was insane and nobody could keep him tied with chains anymore; many times his feet and his hands had been tied, but every time he broke the chains and smashed the irons on his feet. He was too strong for anyone to control him. Day and night he wandered among the tombs and through the hills, screaming and cutting himself with stones.

For a very long time he was nothing but when he encountered Jesus he fell on his knees and worshipped Jesus. The demons afflicting him were commanded do depart and he was set free- Mark 5:2-20. The man that was nothing became something, somebody to celebrate; and he went from zero to hero. May this be your testimony in Jesus name.

Prayer Nugget: Father, please, grant me victory over every zero spirit in Jesus name.

Welcome To Your Season of Perfection

Date: Tuesday, 2nd July, 2024

Text: Psalm 138:7-8

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Welcome to the 7th month of perfection. The Lord will perfect all that concerns you in Jesus name. I pray for you that this second half of the year will be more glorious than the first in the mighty name of Jesus. Everything you are due for shall be granted unto you this season; your shame will give way to glory; health will triumph over sickness; prosperity will defeat poverty; the light of God will shine; darkness will be confounded in Jesus name.

Are you worried that things seem not to be working the way you expect? Are you anxious or disturbed that your efforts are not yielding expected results and you fear that this year is about to slip out of your hands? Fear not! Put your trust and hope in the Lord. He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. Your times are in His hands and He will arrange things to work in your favour.

The Psalmist in today’s text says, “The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” Psalm 138:7-8

By the mercy of God his purpose for your life shall be fulfilled speedily; the Lord will fight your battles for you and vindicate you in Jesus name.

It may look like things are not balanced yet and probably your mind is not settled. Just rest your heart on the Lord; cast your cares on Him. Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus- Philippians 4:6-7.

Prophetic Nugget: You will not labour in vain; every effort of yours will yield bountiful results this season in Jesus name.

You Will Overcome

Date: Saturday, 29th June, 2024

Text: Ephesians 6:10-18

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

The desire of God is that you overcome every challenge that confronts you. Let’s face it- life is full of battles. There are forces that always try to contend with you whether you realize it or not. The world we are in is demon-infested and therefore evil contends with good and darkness contends with light.

Lies contend with the truth; corruption battles with purity and unrighteousness struggles against righteousness. You will notice that it is easier to destroy than to build; it is easier to descend than to ascend and it is easier to hate than to love. Good things tend to have some form of resistance.

The devil’s kingdom is highly organized; the word of God confirms that we are not fighting against flesh and blood (human beings or physical opponents) but against the principalities (wicked spiritual forces) in the heavenly realm, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this world’s darkness.

It is therefore very important to be fully equipped with God’s armour so that you will be able to stand up against the Devil’s evil tricks- Ephesians 6:10-18

It takes a deliberate action on our own part as children of the light to shine in the midst of this world’s darkness putting the enemy where he belongs.

We must not be ignorant of Satan’s cunning devices so that he doesn’t outsmart and take advantage of us- 2 Corinthians 2:11. In the days ahead we would be identifying and praying against his demonic foot soldiers wrecking havoc in the lives of men. You will overcome in Jesus name.

Prayer Nugget: Father, I choose to shine brightly as an overcomer in the midst of this world’s darkness in Jesus name.

He Sent Forth His Word

Date: Thursday, 27th June, 2024

Text: Psalm 107:17-22

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

By faith we understand that the universe was created by God’s word, so that what can be seen was made out of what cannot be seen. In fact, John 1:1-4 confirms that in the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was God. From the very beginning the Word was with God. Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without him.

So basically, the Word of God is God himself, no wonder it is creative in nature. The Word of God is a spirit; when spoken it sets the Holy Spirit in motion. It provokes the Spirit of God to act in line with the spoken word.

The spoken word of God drives the holy angels to work to carry out the commands of the Most High-Psalm 103:20.

Apart from the creative power of God’s word, healing and deliverance also flow from the Word.

According to today’s text, certain folks were classified as foolish, because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted. They were so sick that they lost appetite and their  souls hated all kinds of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.-Psalm 107: 17-20.

Action Nugget: Take advantage of the creative, healing and salvation power of the Word of God today!

The Longing Soul (2)

Text: Luke 5:16-17

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of modern day world, everybody seems to be very busy and have little or no time to be alone with the Lord. Those who seem to be less busy have their hearts preoccupied with worries and doubts that make them unsettled within.

No wonder many complain that the mighty works wrought in those early days are not as common these days as they used to be in those days. Has God changed? No! The word of God says,  “For I am the Lord, I do not change” Malachi 3:6a. Also Hebrews 13:8 confirms. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Therefore, what God did before he can do again, however, the intensity of God’s presence that you carry depends on how much time you spend tarrying before Him. It is like charging a phone; the more time you spend charging it, the more power it will gather and the longer time it would be useful to you.

The word of God records that during his earthly ministry the Lord Jesus Christ, our perfect example, “…. often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.” Luke 5:16. He was constantly in touch with the Father, little wonder the anointing flowed ceaselessly in His earthly ministry.

Spend quality time fasting, praying, praising, worshiping and devouring his word; you will be filled to the overflow. The works that Christ did, you will do and even greater works.

Action Nugget: As a habit, schedule times of personal retreat to charge your spiritual battery.

The Longing Soul

Text: Psalm 63:1-2

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

How much food you eat depends on how hungry you are. Similarly how much water you drink depends on how thirsty you are. How much of God’s presence you carry depends on how much of Him you long for. The word of God says, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6

Are you hungry for God? Are you thirsty for his word and righteousness? If you are, it will show in the way you seek him. God told Jeremiah saying, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

David was a man who loved God and pursued him with all his heart. This is why he told the Lord saying “O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land. Where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory.” Psalm 63:1-2

At a point he said, “Evening and morning and at noon, I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.” Psalm 55:17

Later he said, “Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments”. Psalm 119:164

In Psalm 34:1 he said, “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

As you set your heart to seek his face, rest assured that you will daily encounter him and your life will never remain the same again in Jesus name.

Action Nugget: Ask for more appetite for the word of God and for his Holy Spirit.

God’s Will Concerning Your Health (6)

Date: Sunday, 23rd June, 2024

Text: Acts 19:11-16

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Recently we concluded that there are demons behind the activities of germs, infections and negative medical conditions. We also said that believers in Christ have the authority to cast them out.

It is worthy of note that demons know those who are in Christ and those who are not; therefore, they don’t just obey commands from just anybody.

According to today’s text, God was performing unusual miracles through Paul. Even handkerchiefs and aprons he had used were taken to the sick, and their diseases were driven away, and the evil spirits would go out of them. Some Jews who traveled around and drove out evil spirits also tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus to do this. They said to the evil spirits, “I command you in the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches.”

Seven brothers, who were the sons of a Jewish High Priest named Sceva, were doing this. But the evil spirit said to them, “I know Jesus, and I know about Paul; but you—who are you?” The man who had the evil spirit in him attacked them with such violence that he overpowered them all. They ran away from his house, wounded and with their clothes torn off- Acts 19:11-16.

Before demons can submit to you, you must have submitted to Christ. The word of God says, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:8.7

Key Nugget: Before demons can submit to you, you must have submitted to Christ.

God’s Will Concerning Your Health (5)

Date: Thursday, 20th June, 2024

Text: Mark 16:16-18

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

There was a man whose mental health had seriously deteriorated. This man lived among the tombs. Nobody could keep him tied with chains anymore; many times his feet and his hands had been tied, but every time he broke the chains and smashed the irons on his feet. He was too strong for anyone to control him. Day and night he wandered among the tombs and through the hills, screaming and cutting himself with stones- Mark 5:1-20.

When Jesus met him he asked him what his name was (Mark 5:9). The demons having been identified by name were successfully driven out and the man got his mental health back.

In the ninth chapter of the book of Mark, a boy was brought to Christ who could not talk.  The word of God described the sickness as a spiritual attack. Whenever the evil spirit attacked him, it threw him to the ground, and he foamed at the mouth, gritted his teeth, and became stiff all over. Jesus identified the evil spirit by name. “Deaf and dumb spirit,” he said, “I order you to come out of the boy and never go into him again!” and the boy was completely healed. Mark 9:14-26

Every infection, germ or sickness has an evil spirit behind it. Just as Christ identified the spirits by their names, believers in Christ are expected to address every illness by its name and cast it out.

Mark 16:16-18, says, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Action Nugget: Exercise your faith- mention that illness by name and cast it out in Jesus name.

God’s Will Concerning Your Health (4)

Date: Wednesday, 19th June, 2024

Text: Exodus 23:25-26

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

The Egyptians suffered from terrible sicknesses by virtue of the refusal of Pharaoh, their king to let the Israelites go after a bondage that lasted 430 years, in fact their animals were not spared- Exodus 7-12.

Spiritually speaking, Egyptians are symbolic of the unbelieving world. The Egyptian represents an unregenerate soul who is still living by natural human standard devoid of the Spirit of God.

Conversely, the spiritual Israelite is one who has fully submitted to the Lordship of Christ and is a spiritual son or daughter of Abraham. This category of people are called a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy- 1 Peter 2:9-10

If you a spiritual Israelite the promise of God is to “Take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.” Deuteronomy 7:15

Again, the Lord God assures that “If you would diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee”- Exodus 15:26

One way to stay healthy is to shall serve the Lord your God, and he has covenanted to bless your food and your water; and to take sickness away from your life. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in your life: the number of your days God has promised to fulfill-Exodus 23:25-26.

Prophetic Nugget: May you cooperate with God to fulfill his will concerning your health in Jesus name.
