Don’t Be Led Astray

Date: Thursday, 6th November 2025

Text: Genesis 3:4-5

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

To be led astray is to be misled into believing lies. The devil is an expert in deception. In Genesis 3:4-5, we see how Eve was deceived by the serpent, who promised that eating the forbidden fruit would open her eyes and make her like God, knowing good and evil. The deception began subtly, with doubt: “Did God really say…?” (Genesis 3:1). This caused Eve to question God’s clear instructions, leading to disobedience and its consequences.

Throughout history, many have been misled in similar ways. Saul persecuted Christians thinking he was serving God (Acts 9:1-2), yet he opposed the very people God had ordained for his salvation. He was so deceived that he oversaw the killing of saints, including Stephen.

In our time, many are enticed by alcohol, drugs, wild partying, sexual recklessness, and gambling, believing these will bring happiness, wealth, or freedom. Others turn to occultic practices seeking power or protection, only to encounter fear, intimidation, untimely death, and eternal destruction (Galatians 5:19-21).

Beloved, the Word of God is our safeguard. It is the source of true righteousness, lasting joy, peace, and blessing (Psalm 119:105; John 16:33). Do not allow doubt, temptation, or lies to mislead you. Stand firm in God’s truth, resist the enemy (James 4:7), and cling to the promises of God, for they never fail.

Prayer Nugget: Father, please, guard my heart and mind against the lies of the enemy. Help me to discern truth from deception and to stand firm in your promises in Jesus’ mighty name.

Overcoming Ignorance

Date: Tuesday, 4th November, 2025

Text: 2 Corinthians 2:11

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

One of the greatest tools the enemy exploits is our ignorance. Many people live in denial of the activities of the evil one. It’s like a person saying he doesn’t believe that armed robbers or kidnappers exist—such a person is living in an imaginary paradise.

The prophet Hosea exclaimed, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) The knowledge of God’s Word exposes the intentions and strategies of the enemy.

The devil prefers to operate behind the scenes and remain undiscovered, so that you won’t be able to trace him as the source of your problems. As long as he stays hidden, he continues to manipulate events and afflict lives without resistance.

There is a saying that, “The day a lunatic realizes his insanity, that day marks the beginning of his healing.”You cannot solve a problem you do not recognize. The first step toward deliverance is awareness.

The Word of God says, “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”(2 Corinthians 2:11). The word “devices” refers to Satan’s evil plans, thoughts, or strategiesdesigned to deceive, divide, or destroy.

Likewise, inEphesians 6:11, Scripture says, “Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” The word “wiles” means tricks, schemes, or crafty plans—the clever and deceitful methods the devil uses to tempt or mislead people away from God.

In essence, both “devices” and “wiles” describe Satan’s cunning strategies to cause believers to sin, stumble, or lose faith. But as we arm ourselves with the knowledge of God’s Word and the power of His Spirit,we can overcome ignorance and stand victorious over every evil scheme.

Prayer Nugget: Father, please, let your light expose every dark plan of the enemy around my life, and grant me victory through the knowledge of Christ. In Jesus’ name.

W.R.E.S.T.L.E (Part 7) — Effectual Prayer

Date: Monday, 3rd November, 2025

Text: James 5:16

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

We conclude our W.R.E.S.T.L.E. series with the final and ultimate ingredient of spiritual wrestling — Effectual Prayer.

Effectual prayer is not mere repetition of words; it is prayer energized by faith and driven by the Holy Spirit. It is a prayer backed up with the right scriptures: prayer that moves heaven and shakes hell. The Word of God says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” This kind of prayer carries power, passion, and persistence.

In 1 Kings 18:42–46, Elijah bowed on Mount Carmel and prayed until the heavens released rain. Though he saw nothing at first, he persisted until his servant saw a small cloud. That is effectual prayer — prayer that refuses to stop until manifestation comes, in other words Praying Until Something Happens (PUSH)

Paul also exhorted in Ephesians 6:18: “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance…”

True spiritual wrestling ends in victory when our prayers are Spirit-led, not flesh-driven. It is the Spirit who gives utterance, direction, and intensity in intercession.

And Romans 8:26 adds: “The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities… for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

Beloved, effectual prayer is the engine of spiritual warfare. It is the place where burdens are lifted, yokes are broken, and destinies are realigned. A believer who prays fervently and consistently cannot remain a victim — because the God of Heaven backs his utterances.

As we end this W.R.E.S.T.L.E. series, remember: victory in spiritual wrestling comes not by strength or emotion, but by divine empowerment through persistent, Spirit-filled prayer.

Prayer Nugget: Father, please, ignite my prayer life with fresh fire. Let my prayers avail much and bring glory to your name, in Jesus’ name.

W.R.E.S.T.L.E (Part 6) — Loyalty to God’s Word

Date: Sunday, 2nd November, 2025

Text: Psalm 119:89

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

The sixth ingredient of spiritual wrestling is Loyalty to God’s Word. In every battle, the strength of your stance depends on the foundation beneath your feet. For the believer, that foundation is the unchanging, unshakable Word of God.

When Jesus faced temptation in the wilderness, He triumphed not with emotion, but with the written Word:

“It is written…” (Matthew 4:4–10). Each declaration of Scripture dismantled the enemy’s lie and enforced divine truth. True spiritual wrestlers do not fight with opinions, feelings, or arguments — they stand firm on “Thus saith the Lord.”

The psalmist affirms in Psalm 119:105: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” God’s Word gives direction in the dark, clarity amid confusion, and power over the adversary.

Also, Hebrews 4:12 reminds us that: “The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.” This means every time you speak the Word in faith, you release divine power that cuts through resistance and brings alignment with God’s will.

Beloved, loyalty to the Word means more than quoting Scripture — it means living by it, trusting it, and obeying it even when it’s not convenient. The Word is your weapon, your shield, and your anchor. Every lasting victory in spiritual warfare is born out of steadfast confidence in what God has said.

Prayer Nugget: Father, help me to build my life on your Word. Let your truth dwell richly in my heart and guide my every step in Jesus’ name.
