Insist On Your Lofty Dreams

Date: Sunday, 12th January, 2025

Text:  Psalm 139: 14-17

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

What do you do when you are asked to choose among three good things? You most likely would choose the one that suits your best interests both in the short and long runs. The fact that something is good does not make it good for you. Why? You are special! You are fearfully and wonderfully made- Psalm 139: 14.

There are no two of you in the world. That is why among the over 6 billion souls that live on the planet earth your finger print and iris pattern are unique to you. In the same way the plan and purpose of God for you are peculiar to you. Therefore it is not a good thing when you are trying to be like someone else. Be the original you! Being like someone else makes you a counterfeit.

In this New Year you need to insist on that original dream you have. Don’t bow to pressure to quit your lofty dreams because nobody seems to understand you, because it is not a popular route or because of the challenges you are currently facing. Nothing good comes cheap. There is always a price to pay and a sacrifice or sacrifices to make in order to reach your goal. Get ready to make such sacrifices.

They say, “Nothing ventured, nothing gained”. If you sow sparingly, you reap sparingly; if you sow bountifully, so shall your harvest be- 2 Corinthians 9:6. Go all out and invest massively on your beautiful dreams and aspirations. Break new grounds; you may make mistakes and fail in some areas, it is not strange. If you fall, get up dust yourself and forge ahead. Keep moving!

It is not every seed that a farmer plants that germinates. Some will but most will. The fact that some efforts have not yielded (and may not yield) should not discourage you. Keep sowing, investing and moving forward. You will reach your goal and become fulfilled in Jesus name.

Prayer Nugget: Father, I ask for the grace to hold on to your beautiful purpose and dreams for my life in Jesus name.

Holiness Protects (3)

Date: Saturday, 11th January, 2025

Text:  Psalm 96:9

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Shame is the opposite of glory. Holiness and glory go together. The Bible says God is glorious in holiness and fearful in praises. Exodus 15:11. The Psalmist says, “O worship the Lord in the beauty (splendour/glory) of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.” Psalm 96:9

Conversely, sin and shame go hand in hand. The word of God says, “Sin and shame go together. Lose your honor, and you will get scorn in its place.” Proverbs 18:3. The scripture says, “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

Gehazi would have been one of the most anointed prophets of all time. But due to greed and temporary self gratification he lost out and instead became leprous, both he and his unborn generations.

The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools-Proverbs 3:35. Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god-Psalm 16:4

Holiness therefore protects from shame.

Prophetic Nugget: This New Year may you not know shame in Jesus name

Holiness Protects (2)

Date: Friday, 10th January, 2025

Text:  Judges 16:21-31

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

One of the reasons you must be holy is because God himself is holy. Another reason why you need to be holy is that God commanded it. He said,Be ye holy; for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:16.

Holiness is not an option for anyone who wants to see God at the end of his brief stay on planet Earth. The word of God says, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”- Hebrews 12:14.

Holiness is God’s character. If you truly belong to God, holiness should be your character as well. They say, “Like Father, like Son’. Do you desire promotion? Righteousness exalts but sin demotes- Proverbs 14:34.

If you must ascend the hill of promotion, do so with clean hands and a pure heart. Promotion comes from God.

The word of God says, “Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” Hebrews 1:9

Prevention, they say, is better than cure. Don’t take God’s mercy and forgiveness for granted. If you deliberately continue in disobedience (sin); even if God forgives you, the scar will remain. If you doubt it ask Samson. Though God had mercy on him and restored his hair and strength, his eyes were permanently lost. He died as a blind man in the captivity of his enemies- Judges 16:1-31.

This year you need to be true to yourself and deliberately choose to live a holy life.

Holiness protects!

Prophetic Nugget: As you live a holy life, may you enjoy the protection that holiness offers in Jesus name.

Text:  Numbers 25:1-9

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Holiness means total obedience to God’s word. When the manufacturer of an electronic gadget or car gives you a user’s manual, he does so out of customer care. He wants you to know the best way to handle the product so that you enjoy it for as long as possible. It is not wise to ignore the manufacturer’s instructions because you can’t know the product more than the one who made it.

When the Lord gives an instruction he does so out of love for you. He knows you more than you know yourself. His word contains all his divine instructions for a victorious life. Thus wisdom requires that you pay careful attention to God’s precepts.

1 John 5:3 says, “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”

For instance, when you obey God in the area of sexual purity and marital faithfulness you protect yourself from unwanted pregnancies, abortion, sexually transmitted diseases and emotional heartbreaks. Everyone who chooses to continue in the path of disobedience is eventually responsible for the misfortune he would bring upon himself.

So many of the misfortunes, sicknesses, calamities and untimely deaths that we have today could have been  avoided if the souls involved had chosen to dwell under the secret place of the Most High.

When you operate outside the will of God, you are On Your Own (O.Y.O.), no longer under the divine covering.

No enchantment or divination worked against the Israelites as long as they remained faithful to God’s word. When the enemy tried to curse them, it turned to blessing- they were “uncursable”. As at that time the word of God said, “He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.” Numbers 23:21

But the devil would not give up. He then lured them into the sin of immorality and immediately the glory of God that protected them disappeared (Romans 3:23). By the time we get to Numbers 25, they had let down their guards and they became weak and open to the enemies’ attacks. Within a short time 23,000 men died of a deadly plague that broke out. Numbers 25:1-9; 1 Corinthians 10:8

In this New Year, you need to stay within the ambits of God’s commandments and you will be protected in Jesus name.

Key Nugget: Holiness will protect you if you choose to live according to God’s word.

Command the Strangers (2)

Date: Wednesday, 8th January, 2025

Text:  Matthew 15:13

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Sometimes the strangers are fired as arrows into the lives of men. The word of God confirms that there are arrows that fly in the day- Psalm 91:5. The story was told of a little boy who was gifted a piece of sweet candy by a birthday celebrant. He decided to keep it in his bag probably to show his parents before consuming it.

By the time he got home he forgot about it. However, the mum was randomly checking his bag and found a something quite strange- a human thumb. Demonically, the candy had transformed to a human body part. Imagine what had happened to the other children that ate the candies given to them without praying on it. This incident made the headlines in the late 80’s

Many souls have ingested satanic poisons through what they ate in the day time while wide awake. It could be at a major party or canteen. Another story was told about a man who was known as a ‘philanthropist’. He regularly killed cows and shared the meat to the members of the community.

One day, around 4am the man was seen bathing on top of a cow he had killed which meat he intended to share as usual. You can imagine the havoc that he must have wrecked in the lives of those consuming the free ritual meat.

Have you accidentally swallowed strangers into your body through the consumption of the wrong food or drink? Fear not! If you are in Christ there is nothing to fear. Jesus said, “Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.” Matthew 15:13.

Action Nugget: Ask the Lord to uproot every evil implantation in your life in Jesus name.

Command the Strangers

Date: Tuesday, 7th January, 2025

Text:  Psalm 18:44-45

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Everything that God made is very good. Genesis 1 verse 31a says, “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.” James 1:17 also says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

However, the devil is not resting. He always looks for ways to corrupt the perfect works of the Most High. And most times, he does so at night. Our Lord Jesus Christ compared the kingdom of heaven to a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.” Matthew 13:24-26

This calls for consistency in prayers and watchfulness on the part of the saints.

A woman once dreamt that somebody persuaded her to collect and eat a piece of wrapped okra. When she refused the person wanted to force her but she vehemently refused and while the argument went on the okra transformed into a creature that looks like a lizard; and she woke up.

God really saved that woman that day because if she had consumed the ‘okra’ in her dream it would have brought terrible affliction and sickness upon her. Many are suffering from such problems today. They would go to the hospital and conduct tests and do scans but the doctors may not detect anything yet the victim suffers from invisible strangers.

Are you suffering from such strangers today? Don’t be in dismay; there is hope for you. The word of God says, “As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me. The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.” Psalm 18:44-45

Action Nugget: Command those strangers to fade away and tremble out of their hiding places in your life in Jesus name.

The Set Time

Date: Monday, 6th January, 2025

Text:  Psalm 102:13

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

God is highly organized and he works based on his schedule or timetable. He has set a time for everything. The word of God says, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;a time to weep, and a time to laugh.

“A time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Everything is right on schedule. Fruits come out in their seasons. When it is the season for a fruit, you easily find a lot of them at affordable prices. He makes everything beautiful in his time.(Ecclesiastes 3:11a).

Hannah had been going to Shiloh for many years but got no result until her time came in God’s calendar. The Spirit of God inspired her to change her prayer request, making a solemn vow in the process. 1 Samuel: 1-20.

When a man’s time is fully come God arises on behalf of that fellow and shows mercy. He then singles out that person for favour- Psalm 102:13.

In this New Year, your time of favour has come. May the Lord arise on your behalf, show you compassion and uncommon favour in Jesus Name.

Prayer Nugget: Father, my set time has come; please have mercy on me. In this New Year arise on my behalf and favour me in Jesus name

Gratitude for Altitude

Date: Sunday, 5th January, 2025

Text:  Psalm 34:1-3

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Today is the very first Sunday in the New Year. Glory be to God in the highest. The will of God in Christ Jesus for us is to give thanks to him in all circumstances- 1 Thessalonians 5:18. We are to always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ-Ephesians 5:20

David, the Sweet Psalmist of Israel said, “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.” Psalm 34:1-3

We are commanded not to be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving to present our requests to God. Philippians 4:6-7

One of the springboards to a great altitude this year is your attitude of gratitude. Let us pray!

Prayer Nuggets

  1. Father, I worship you for who you are.
  2. Father, for all your faithfulness in the past I worship you.
  3. Thank you Father for your divine interventions, miracles, signs and wonders in my life.
  4. Thank you Most High for the past victories and testimonies in my life,
  5. I thank you Father for bringing me into this year.
  6. Lord Jesus thank you for what you are doing in my life at the moment.
  7. I am grateful Father for your beautiful plans for me this year.

Fresh Infilling Of The Holy Spirit

Date: Saturday, 4th January, 2025

Text:  Joel 2:28-29

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

We are clearly in the Last Days and the devil is playing his last set of evil cards because he knows that his time. The enemy of man’s soul has poured the spirit of coldness (doubt and outright unbelief) into the air. That is why you see so much apathy and disinterest in the things of God.

Souls that used to be hot for God are now guilty of what they used to preach against. They are like a dog that has returned to its vomit.

The enemy has equally poured the spirit of lukewarmness into the lives of so many. That is why you see so many souls having the form of godliness but lacking the power behind it. In other words outwardly they look religious but their conduct nullifies their claim of faith.

The spirit of lukewarmness is also the reason why we have a lot of half-baked Christians who are neither here nor there; they look half spiritual and half worldly. God is not pleased with such people. You should either be cold, that is, completely worldly so that God will see your sincerity and save your soul or be completely hot so that God can know you are on his side and can then use you to save others.

Enough of coldness or lukewarmness!

This year you need to ask God to fill you with his Holy Spirit so that there is no room for the flesh to show up at all.

The word of God promised us saying, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.” Joel 2:28-29

Ask the Lord to fulfill his promise of this spiritual outpouring of the Holy Spirit in your life and this year you will never remain the same again.

Prayer Nugget: Father, please, fill me a fresh with your Holy Spirit; I will give no room for sin or the flesh in my life in Jesus name.

Reflect and Re-strategize

Date: Friday, 3rd January, 2025

Text:  Genesis 1:1-31

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

To reflect is to think deeply or carefully about something. It could also mean to review what you have done.

When God undertook the project of creating the Heavens and the Earth, he kept assessing and reassessing the situation from time to time. At his stage of the Creation Story, God did reflect on the works of his hands to determine areas that need perfection, if need be.

Between verses one and thirty one of the first chapter of Genesis, God reflected, assessed and re-assessed the project he was doing 7 times. On the seventh time the word of God says, “And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good…” Genesis 1:31

God is perfect; he cannot make mistakes. His works don’t need any form of improvement. However, he reflected on his works to give us an example of the need to constantly reflect and re-strategize.

In Southwest Nigeria, where I hail from, the elders have a proverb which says, “When a youth stumbles and falls, he looks forward. Upon the fall of an elder, he looks back’. In other words, when a youth loses his balance and stumbles, his instinct is to look forward to where he wants to go and try to regain his footing. However, an elder often more concerned about the potential causes of his fall, might instinctively look back at the source of the stumble to assess the situation so as to prevent a recurrence.

Many people have remained on one spot because they keep doing things the same way without an attitude of reflection. When you think deeply and evaluate your situation, you will definitely spot an area that needs improvement.

You should not keep doing things the same way and expect a different result. Reflect and prayerfully re-plan and re-strategize. This year don’t be afraid to try new things; don’t shy away from exploring new territories and breaking new grounds; don’t hesitate to prayerfully try new methods. You will do great things this year in Jesus name.

Prayer Nugget: Father, I receive the spirit of prudence and excellence, I receive the grace to reflect, re-strategize and do exploits this year in Jesus name.
