On Eagle’s Wings

Date: Wednesday, 1st January, 2025

Text:  Exodus 19:3-5

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

If a man decides to travel a journey of 2000 kilometers on a motorcycle and another chooses to go via airplane, both of them will eventually reach their destinations but their time of arrival would be different. The former would be worn out and stressed out while the latter would be fresh on arrival.

In this New Year I pray for you that you will achieve great things with ease in Jesus name. What others struggle to get would be delivered to you on the platter of mercy and ease. When others say things are difficult your testimony would be that things are easy. When they say there is a casting down, you will say that there is a lifting up in Jesus name.

However, for this to happen, you need to climb on the Eagle’s Wings of the Most High.

According to today, s text, after their miraculous deliverance from the cruel slavery of the Egyptians, Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called to him out of the mountain, saying, “Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.” Exodus 19:3-4

The mighty deliverance across the Red Sea was metaphorically described as a flight on Eagle’s wings- a supernatural intervention beyond human ability and comprehension. This would be your experience in the New Year in Jesus name.

God will favour you in the New Year and treat you as a Spiritual VIP (Very Important Person). The Most High told Moses in the 5th verse of Exodus 19 saying, “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:”

Determine to keep the Covenant of God in this New Year by obeying his word and doing his will. Up, up you will go; you will never come down in Jesus name.

Happy New Year!

Prayer Nugget: Father, thank you for your purpose of carrying me on Eagle’s wings this year. I will cooperate with you in obedience in Jesus name.

Text:  Psalm 91:1-16

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

The few hours left in this year shall be filled with God’s supernatural presence and grace in  Jesus name. All your blessings left in this year will not elude you in Jesus name. Every satanically manipulated calamity against you will not see the light of the day. Every last minute disaster planned against you and your family will be averted in the name of Jesus Christ.

The snare of the enemy against you is broken and you have escaped in Jesus name- Psalm 124:1-7. Anyone who has dug a pit against you will fall into it; every tongue that rises up against you in judgment shall be permanently silenced and condemned in Jesus name.

Every arrow of the evil one sent against you shall boomerang back to the sender in Jesus name. Surely they will gather but anyone that gathers against you shall scatter for your sake in Jesus name- Isaiah 54:15-17.

Let God arise and let his enemies in your life be scattered in Jesus name. Let the fire that goes before his presence consume all your enemies round about in Jesus name- Psalm 97:3

A thousand may fall at your left side and ten thousand at your right hand but no evil shall befall you and no plague shall come near your dwelling in Jesus name-Psalm 91:7.

Every stubborn problem in your life will bow to the authority of the blood of Jesus. Happy New Year in advance!

Prophetic Nugget: You will cross over into the New Year in peace and not in pieces in Jesus name.

Text:  Genesis 17:1-10

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

When it was a year to the fulfillment of God’s long term promise in his life the Lord appeared to Abram and said unto him, “I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.” Genesis 17:1

Abram cooperated with God, he followed all instructions given to him in total obedience and God had no choice but to fulfill his 25-year old promise in his life.

God is about to fulfill his long-awaited promises in your life in the New Year but you have a part to play.

About sixteen years ago the Holy Spirit told me that he wanted to move in a mighty way in my life and the life of my fiancée (back then before we got married) but he warned that we were the only ones that could hinder him if we allowed secret sins. I relayed the message to my wife-to-be. And we both examined our lives and ensured holiness was our watchword.

The following year God indeed moved mightily as he promised and our marital level changed permanently because we played our own part. The word of God says, “You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” Hebrews 1:9

God wants to move in your life in the New Year but you need to examine your life, repent and forsake any secret sin.

The word of God says, “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. “Proverbs 28:13. Again the scripture says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” Psalm 66:18

You are the only one that can hinder God’s move in your life in the New Year. Examine your self today and as you pray your way into the New Year, make the necessary adjustments in your life.

Action Nugget: Rededicate your heart to the Lord, he will do a new thing in your life and fulfill his long term promises in your life in Jesus name.

Text:  Exodus 33:11-23

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

By the power of his supernatural presence the children of Israel were delivered from a 430-year slavery from the terrible hand of a stubborn pharaoh (Exodus 1-14). There deliverance was possible through a lot of timely supernatural interventions.

However, at a point in their journey to the Promised Land the Israelites backslid into the sin of idolatry by creating and worshipping a golden calf (Exodus 32). At this time Moses was away on the mountain to receive the divine Code of Conduct (Ten Commandments) by which they were to live successfully as an independent nation.

God was very angry with them; in fact, angry enough to wipe them out of the surface of the earth; but, Moses stood in the gap.  God, therefore, concluded that he was going to withdraw his presence from them.

Moses understood the grave implication of this and so he pleaded with the lord saying, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” Exodus 33:15-16

One of the major distinguishing attributes that differentiates an unbeliever from a believer is the presence of God.

In the 14th verse of Exodus 33, the Lord replied Moses saying , “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

The presence of the Lord guarantees you victory and rest on all sides. As you prepare to cross over into the New Year, pray that his ever abiding presence will never depart from you and your family in Jesus name.

Prayer Nugget: Father, let your ever-abiding presence never depart from me; please, let me see your hand and glory in every area of my life as I cross over into the New Year in Jesus name.

Exhortation:

After spending time praising God you now need to ask for his mercy as you step into the New Year. Ask the Lord to open the door of mercy to you. His mercy triumphs over judgment. His mercy breaks protocols and delivers to you a blessing you are not qualified for.

On the basis of mercy you can ask God for very difficult things. In today’s text, Moses made a very hard request from the Lord. He asked to see God’s glory; in other words he asked to see the very face of the Most High. It was indeed a very hard request because no human can see his face and live. But on the basis of mercy God granted his request without allowing him to die.

The Lord told Moses, “I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.” Exodus 33:19b.When mercy appeared grace followed. I pray for you that you will enjoy the special grace of God in the New Year in Jesus name.

When God has mercy on you he will arise on your behalf and show you favour. The repentant thief on the Cross obtained forgiveness and the miracle of salvation by the mercies of God- Luke 23:32-43.  Blind Bartimaeus received his sight on the platter of mercy- Mark 10:46-52. The Ten Lepers regained their health because Christ showed them mercy- Luke 17:11-19

This season you need to approach the Throne of Grace so that you may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in this time of need- Hebrews 4:16b

Action Nugget: Cry to God for mercy ceaselessly and specify the particular areas you need his mercy in the New Year.

Pray Your Way Into The New Year

Text:  Psalm 100:4-5

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

There are many reasons why you need to pray our way into the New Year. The first reason is to give thanks to God for all he has done for you in the outgoing year. No matter what you have gone through this year, if you can think deeply you will realize that God has done so much for you.

The fact that you are still breathing shows that God has not given up on you. They say, “When there is life there is hope”. The word of God says, “There is hope for a tree:  If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail. Its roots may grow old in the ground and its stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will bud and put forth shoots like a plant.” Job 14:7-9

When you give thanks to God for the little, it becomes much. When you deliberately switch from complaining to praises, you are provoking God to turn your situation around for the best.

Even though you have been through pain, you still need to give thanks to God because weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning- Psalm 30:5. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:4b-5.

You should praise him for what he has done for you this year; for what he is doing and for what he has refused to do (because he has a better idea). Worship him for who he is.

Bless his holy name for his beautiful plans for you.  Godis saying to you, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Determine to cooperate with God by submitting your heart completely to Christ and resisting the devil through holy living. It shall be well with you in Jesus name.

Action Nugget: Praise him ceaselessly for his great plans for you in the New Year.

Text:  Isaiah 9:6-7

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Every blessing that the redemption package offers, places a responsibility on us as believers. For example, just as Christ forgave us, we are expected to forgive those that offend us.

Just as Christ bore our burdens we are expected to bear one another’s burdens- Galatians 6:2.

God first loved us and we are obligated to love him in return and to love our neighbours. The only debt we must continually owe our neighbour is the debt of love. 1 John 4:11.

Romans 13:8, which says, “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law”.

The word of God also says, “Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? …..Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:16-18

He came to serve and sacrifice, so are we expected to do. We are called to serve and not to be served- Mark 10:45; Romans 12:1.

Jesus also said, “As the Father has sent me, I also send you.” John 20:21. Just as Christ was sent by the Father to preach the gospel of repentance, so are we saddled with the same responsibility. We are to go to the whole world and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that he has commanded us. Matthew 28:19-20

The above spiritual responsibilities were what Christ referred to when he said, “Take my yoke upon you and learn of me….. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:29-30

Prophetic Nugget: Receive the grace to fulfill all the spiritual responsibilities in Jesus name.

Unto Us A Child Is Born (2)

Date: Wednesday, 25th December, 2024

Text:  Isaiah 9:6-7

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Unto us a child was born to destroy the works of the devil-1 John 3:8. The work of the devil is to separate us from God using the weaponry of sin. He knows that sin causes a thick wall of separation between man and God so he does everything possible to make sure you sin against God.

He knows that once sin is established in a sinner’s life, he can then take his evil work to the next level of stealing, killing and destroying. But Christ was born to reverse the irreversible and give us abundant life- John 10:10.

The name of Jesus is a summary of his mission on Earth. Concerning Mary, the angel Gabriel spoke to Joseph saying, “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

He came to pay the debt of sin we could not pay. His blood brought forgiveness and our eternal debt was fully settled on the Cross of Calvary- Ephesians 1:7.

The wrath of God is upon the sinner everyday- Psalm 7:11. But Jesus’ blood was shed to appease the Father and turn away the anger of the Most High (a spiritual concept known as atonement or propitiation), thereby restoring the once cordial relationship between God and Man (before the fall)- Romans 3:23-24.

When a victim is kidnapped, ransom is usually demanded before his release. The blood of Jesus was the ransom demanded as payment to free us from the bondage of Satan; therefore we have been literally purchased back (redeemed) from the Evil One- 1 Peter 1:18-19

If you are yet to surrender your heart to Christ, do so today so that you too can enjoy all the blessings in the redemption package.

Merry Christmas!

Prayer Nugget: by the precious Blood of Christ  I destroy the works of the devil in my life in Jesus name.

Unto Us A Child Is Born

Date: Tuesday, 24th December, 2024

Text:  Isaiah 9:6-7

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Isaiah 9:6 says, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

All over the world the birth of Christ is celebrated during this season. Most people go on holidays to observe this special time of the year. His birth is indeed significant because Jesus is God himself coming to the world in the form of human in order to show us the way to eternal life. He is able to show us the way because he himself is the Way- John 14:6.

The world is full of scientific facts, theories and philosophies. There are many religions and spiritual sects, each of them claiming to be the truth but Christ himself is the Truth personified. If you want to know the truth about any topic, listen to the word of Christ.

The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord-  Romans 6:23. Sin brought eternal death but Jesus brought the opposite- eternal life. Why is he able to do this? He is himself the Eternal Life. The life of a man is his blood. The eternal life in Christ flows through his precious blood.

The Holy Scriptures established that, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1;1-4;14

Jesus is the reason for the season; Merry Christmas in advance.

Prayer Nugget : Father, may the purpose of the birth of Christ not be defeated in my life in Jesus name.

It’s Time To Go Forward (2)

Date: Monday, 23rd December, 2024

Text:  Genesis 26:1-14

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

The economic situation in which Isaac found himself was unfavorable. The word of God said there was famine in the land; there was scarcity and hardship ravaging the country and the only reasonable thing to do was to seek for greener pastures elsewhere.

God spoke to him and asked him to stay back and invest in the midst of famine. That sounded unreasonable but Isaac knew the God that spoke to him. He knew that God is able to bring something out of nothing.

He obeyed God against all odds and invested generously. The Holy Scripture says, “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.” Genesis 26:12-14

Are you ready to move forward? Ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit and obey his promptings. Love what God loves and hate what he hates. Don’t invest into any venture without seeking divine approval. The popular hymn says, “Trust and obey; there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.”

As we step into the New Year you will move forward and wax great in Jesus name.

Key Nugget: Obedience is a major key to moving forward.
