All Shall Be Well

Text: Isaiah 3:10-11

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

No matter what the situations we are going through we must always remember that our Redeemer Lives forevermore. Don’t allow any condition to make your head bow down in dejection or discouragement. God has not forgotten you and His plans for your tomorrow are intact.

In Isaiah 3:10:11 says, “Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! It shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.”

Christ in us is our hope of glory. Indeed weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning- Psalm 30:5. The night becomes darkest just before the break of the dawn. Things may appear tough now but don’t be dismayed, it will not remain so forever. There is a saying that tough times never last but tough people do. This too would soon pass- the dark cloud will soon pass away and the Sun will shine again in Jesus name.

Remain steadfast and unmoveable. Lift your head up in faith and confidence. Don’t let anything rob you of your joy. Let the joy of the Lord continually be your strength. Keep bouncing in the Lord and you will indeed overcome in Jesus name.

Let your heart be at peace with your Maker and your Saviour, Jesus Christ. Be at peace with all men. The Lord says, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither be afraid.” John 14:27

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

It shall be well with you.

Prayer Nugget: Father, thank you because my future is guaranteed in you in Jesus name.

Text: 1 Corinthians 14:20

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

If you are a deep thinker who ponders on many of God’s creation you would realize there is a lot to learn. For example, when you take a good look at the birds of the air- which do not plant or harvest or store away in barns, and yet are being constantly fed by God you will learn to have more faith in God and worry less.

As poisonous as the serpent is, there is something good we can learn from it. Though it is not a friend of humans but the word of God says we should be imbibe its wisdom and blend it with the innocence of dove.

The word of God also says we can learn from the work ethics of ants and become wiser in our time management and industry.

When God says we should be like children he is not asking us to behave childishly or exhibit immaturity. However, he is asking us to imbibe certain traits of little children that can help our relationship with him.

In his first epistle to the Corinthian church, Apostle Paul wrote saying, “Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.”1 Corinthians 14:20.

In other words, God is saying, “As far as evil is concerned, maintain the innocence and inexperience of a little child but in the understanding of godliness and in the fruit of the Holy Spirit be mature.”

Prophetic Nugget: Father, please, give me the enablement to always maintain the godly attitude of a little child in Jesus name.

Text: Hebrews 12:4-11

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Little children generally trust their parents. At a very young age they strongly believe that whatever their parents say must be correct and true. In fact, they even believe their parents can do all things and can afford anything.

They are tender-hearted and very teachable; that is why a child can learn multiple languages at the same time while he is still very little. Correction is easier when a child is still little; he accepts it with love and adjusts accordingly.

Lessons taught to little children stay with them for a long time; in fact, most times it stays with them for the rest of their lives. This why the word of God says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

God is looking for souls that will trust in Him like little children trust their parents. The Lord is in search of people that will be open to divine correction and discipline without taking offense.

Most people are very difficult to correct. Even when they know they have done the wrong thing; their ego and arrogance will not allow them to own up .They resist chastisement and scorn rebuke. They see whoever is correcting them as their enemy.

But the word of God says, “He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.” Proverbs 29:1

The Bible also says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”  Hebrews 12: 5b-6

Can we humble ourselves and be like little children?

Prayer Nugget: I reject every heart that resists divine chastisement in Jesus name. I ask for a humble and teachable spirit in Jesus name.

Be Like Little Children

Text: Matthew 18:1-6,10

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

One of the beauties of childhood is innocence. To be innocent is to lack deceit or corruption; it means to be pure in your thoughts; to be harmless with no evil intentions.

Little children don’t bottle things up in their minds; they don’t keep malice and they readily forgive. They find it very easy to let go of offenses. When they smile; they do so from the depth of their hearts; same thing with when they weep.

They say things as they are; without pretense or hypocrisy. When they love they do so genuinely and when they dislike someone or something they don’t hide their feelings. Little children are humble and they interact with people freely without bitterness or ill-feelings.

As far as God is concerned, ultimate eternal greatness is reserved for those that will humble themselves and be like little children. This is one of the reasons why Jesus Christ said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

God has so much regard for children that he dispatches a special category of heavenly angels to protect them. In Matthew 18:10, Jesus said, “Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.”

In fact, it is mandatory for anyone who wants to make heaven to become like little children. In today’s text, Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of the people, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:2

Do you want to make it to heaven at last? If yes, be like little children.

Prayer Nugget: Father, I ask for the heart of a little child from today onwards in Jesus name.

Secret Disciples (2)

Text: 2 Timothy 2:8-9

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

The Gospel of Christ cannot be caged; where there is a will there will definitely be a way. Paul the Apostle was imprisoned but the Spirit of God in him cannot be caged. He wrote most of the gospel epistles while he was in jail. He said, “This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained.” 2 Timothy 2:8b-9

There are some countries where Christians are not allowed to practice their faith openly. The government forbids gatherings of believers and even criminalize Bible possession or carriage. They think by so doing they have succeeded in controlling the spread of the gospel.

However, we thank God for the internet and the social media. The gospel is accessible to everybody; even in the remotest parts of the world or where there are no physical worship centres. The Bible is available in electronic forms in virtually all major languages of the world. In such places, believers may not carry the bible in their hands but they store the word of God in their hearts. Therefore, the gospel knows no boundaries.

There are secret disciples of Jesus Christ all over the world even with all the harsh restrictions in communist countries. They may not gather physically together for fear of being prosecuted but they gather virtually with other brethren online, feeding on the word of God and fellowshipping with the brethren. They evangelize and win souls using the power of technology via email and social media.

Don’t be surprised if you get to Heaven and meet millions of native born saints from countries like Saudi Arabia, North Korea, Indonesia, China, Pakistan and other places where the gospel seems not to be popular.

All the while they were on Earth and people mistake them to belong to the other religions due to their dressing or physical appearance; but many of them are secret disciples of Christ, well recognized in Heaven.

If we can still find faithful believers in difficult countries where there are harsh restrictions, how much more in your own corner of the world where you are allowed to practice your faith openly! What will be your excuse if you miss Heaven and go to Hell with all the freedom of worship that you enjoy?

Prayer Nugget: Father, by your mercy and grace I will live holy for the rest of my life and promote the gospel any where I find myself in the world in Jesus name.

Secret Disciples

Date: Monday, 12th August, 2024

Text: John 19:38-40

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

The Pharisees were hypocritical in their way of lives, being like white washed walls or sepulchres which look good outside but inside were full of smelly dead men’s bones. They were religious, having the form of godliness but deny the power thereof; pretending to be who they were not. They lived to get the approval of men rather than that of God,

For their hypocrisy they were judged by the Lord Jesus Christ in 7 woes- Matthew 23-29. However, there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus who decided to be different from the others. He was tired of the pretense and empty way of life he was living and decided to seek help from Christ directly. He visited the Lord in the night under the cover of darkness so as not to be seen or identified by others.

Jesus told him, “‘You must be born again” John 3:7b. He became a secret disciple of Christ and followed him till the very end. Another secret disciple of Christ was a noble man called Joseph of Arimathea.

The Word of God says, “Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders. With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away. He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds. Taking Jesus’ body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen.” John 19:38-40

Child of God, continue to grow in the faith and be steadfast. Don’t feel lonely or think you are the only one living in obedience; there are many brethren like you all over the world. They may not be visible to you but know it that God has secret disciples everywhere.

If Prophet Elijah had known that God had about 7000 secret disciples in Israel (1 Kings 19:18), he would not have allowed himself to be discouraged.

Reflective Nugget: Unto yourself, be true. Don’t be deceived into thinking that the whole world is corrupt. Keep living a holy life; God knows those who are His.

There Is Still a Remnant (3)

Date: Friday, 9th August, 2024

Text: 1 Kings 19:11-18

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Elijah once found himself in a situation where he thought nobody else was doing the will of God but himself only. There was mass backsliding in Israel. The people of Israel had broken their covenant with God, torn down his altars and killed many prophets of God, influenced by Jezebel, the evil Queen.

It was so bad that Elijah, the fire prophet, ran for his life and even wanted to end it. When he encountered God, he told him that he was a lonely prophet in the whole land and that all other prophets have been killed.

The Lord replied, “Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel—all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and whose mouths have not kissed him.” 1 Kings 19:18

The Lord will always have a remnant he has reserved and preserved for himself. The society may look all corrupt and some may be tempted to assume that “Everybody is doing it”. But that is the devil’s trick to deceive you.

Christ can neither die in vain nor be raised in futility. He blood remains potent to cleanse sins away- 1John 1:7. The word of God also says, “Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” 2 Timothy 2:19

Reflective Nugget: Are you among the remnant saved by grace? If not, why not?

There Is Still a Remnant (2)

Date: Wednesday, 7th August, 2024

Text: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

We all came into the world as individuals and not as a group; God also relates with us the same way. He deals with each person as an individual; therefore, don’t get carried away or pressured by the ungodly decision of the crowd. You are unique and special.

In the midst of an ungodly throng, why not stand out for God? For you to know the value of a single soul, the word of God says, the whole of Heaven rejoices when just a single soul repents, forsakes his sins and begins to live a holy life- Luke 15:7.

From time immemorial the multitudes have always failed to respond positively to God’s will. During the time of Noah, you can imagine out of the billions of souls in the world, only 8 were saved when God destroyed the whole world with the flood- 1 Peter 3:20.

The word of God forbids every human from siding with the crowd to do evil. Siding with the crowd against God’s will is synonymous to worldliness. Doing so is tantamount to friendship with the world which is equal to enmity with God- James 4:4.

Don’t be deceived, you won’t be approved by God based on the number of likes, views and followers you get you get on Social Media; because the approval of men does not equate the approval of God.

There is still a remnant that have decided to come out from among the disobedient crowd and separate themselves unto the Lord in obedience; these are the true sons and daughters of the Most High- 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.

Prayer Nugget: Father, I choose to separate myself and stand out in obedience in Jesus name.

There Is Still a Remnant

Date: Monday, 5th August, 2024

Text: Matthew 13:1-23

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Many are called but few are chosen. Why? Few are chosen because only those few responded to the call positively and remain obedient.

According to today’s text, when God gives a call to salvation, there are four categories of reactions that are possible from the called.

The first category is the one who does not understand and grasp the message. The word of God says the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing- 1 Corinthians 1:18a; it doesn’t just make sense, so the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart.

The second category is the one who hears the word and immediately welcomes it with joy; yet he has no substantial root in himself, but is only temporary because the message has not sunk deep in him; and when pressure or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he stumbles and falls away abandoning the One who is the source of salvation.

A third category is the one who hears the word, but the worries and distractions of the world and the superficial pleasures, delight and deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it produces no result or fruit.

Despite all these seeming failures of the word that has been preached, God cannot be stranded. There is still a remnant that will surely respond positively and produce the desired result. This is the fourth category- the one who hears the word and understands and grasps it.

He remains faithful and obedient to the word and eventually multiplies the seed by converting others to righteousness through soul winning, thereby yielding some a hundred times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much and some thirty.

To where do you belong?

Reflective Nugget: What is your attitude to God’s word?

Be In Control (3)

Date: Sunday, 4th August, 2024

Text: Mark 4:35-41

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Doubt and fear are twin forces that the devil uses to challenge your authority and control over situations and circumstances. When you allow strange thoughts to creep into your mind and take root there, they begin to question the authority of God’s word.

The disciples in today’s text were so fearful and doubtful that, even though Christ was in their boat. They couldn’t rebuke the storm that confronted them. Thank God that the Prince of Peace took control-Mark 4:35-41.

When the devil comes to shake or move you, he wants you to doubt the authority God gave you and once you do, fear takes over.

However, when you are conscious of God’s presence in your boat, your faith will defeat doubt and fear. The word of God says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.” Psalm 46:1-3

In verse 10, God says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”

May the name of the Lord be exalted over your storms in Jesus name.

Prayer Nugget: In Jesus name, I rebuke every spirit of doubt and fear in my life.
